ALL ravers, i did a 1 hour recorded set earlier, and it came out quite well, so here it is, listen to it on site, or download, burn to CD, do whatever you like, but if you like hardcore, have a listen, youll like it, full of classic choons from the newer uk hardcore scene, the first couple are cheeky bootlegs, so the sound qual isnt brillaint, but it DOES get much better!

#2 - senn
Having a listen now, cheers
Oh no, My favorite british boy turned straight pirate on me, Oh what will I do, My teen heart throb is ruined! * Big tears and tissue usage*
Whilst I'm a metal fan myself, I really enjoyed this mix.

Great job!

Edit:
I'm listening to it again, it is just so great!

Edit 2:
And listening again, it's just simply amazing!
Listening to it now. So far so good (y)

voodoo & serano - overload (hixxy & re-con remix)
nice choice

just finished listening to it
good tune selection and good mixing (though what was the rewind towards the end about?)
Cheers for the positive feedback guys, im finally starting to get the hang of virtualdj, although the transition from 'old school' to digital mixing has been quite a learning curve, im much more at home putting a real needle to a real piece of vinyl and mixing it up any day

I can only apologise if i have shattered your perfect dreams paws, but i will always be h-a-r-d-c-o-r-e, im sorry </3

And yeah, about the random rewind in the middle of pacific sun by darren styles, i forgot which side was playing and spun the wrong deck back, its a mistake i make frequently on VDJ, im actually quite surprised i only did it once, more practise methinks!
Oh wow, you did it in VDJ?

every VDJ mix i've heard has been utter shit, so well done :P
Thats true klutch, you should have heard the musical disasters i have created with VDJ in the past

Luckily i discovered that you can map keys to different functions, so i can now do more than one thing at once, trying to do pitch, crossfader and Db levels by chasing about the screen with the mouse was a right pain lol

*cries* But me love you long time!

It was a very nice mix by the way, I enjoyed it.

What was the first song? I love fireflies.

I just let VDJ do the beat matching for me whenever I use it. Which is quite ironic because I like using my turntable and real vinyls better and not having a computer do the work for me, lol. Records are so damn expensive though. I really don't like only having a keyboard for VDJ, I can't stand only having on/off buttons to control it with. All of the controllers made for VDJ are a bit pricey.
Exactly what i found, alot of the tracks i use are either unreleased on vinyl, or limited editions, or as you say, bloody pricey, id still much rather use my 12/10's tho, i guess im just old!

I also now remember why i did that rewind after listening to the mix back today in my car at lunchtime, just before the rewind, avast decided to do an update, and had a little shout about it, plus i have it set to pirate language, so you can just hear it saying...

*DINGDINGDING* Avast me hearties, yar blacklist of dangerous sea dogs be safely aboard.

Thats why i spun it back and restarted it before the beat came in, as i was gonna chop that part out and rejoin it during the vocal section before it, but i forgot, oh well.
Hijacking your thread. (Maybe make this into "post your soundcloud/mixcloud links?)

Trance, House and progressive sets. No new mix in the last month as I have been working on a long collaboration mix with dadge.

Anyway, nice set Dan. Hardcore not my cup of tea, but was a pretty good listen.
at first when i heard the "fireflies" beginning on that, i was thinking, were you serious.

but then i heard the beats and i actually quite like it, even though im not a fan of happyhardcore or UK hardcore.

Why? you could of mixed it in.
Lol yeah, could have been an option, just hearing where i rewound it reminded me what had happened lol, the track building up as the vocals finished, then pirate avast dude started having a party, but somehow, just to be annoying, the way that VDJ records stuff is quite different in some way, it turns out it only 'hears' sounds that VDJ itself produces, so although i could hear it coming thru the speakers at the time, the avast bit cant even be heard on the recording anyway!
some wicked tunes in there mate, good work

i made a mix of my own a couple weeks back, but idk if i wanna hijack a thread and post it :P
Nah, its fine mate, bung a link up if you want, its cool.
