The online racing simulator
OutSim and OutGauge not working
My config is as follows:

OutSim Mode 1
OutSim Delay 100
OutSim IP 192.168.45.4
OutSim Port 30002
OutSim ID 0
OutGauge Mode 1
OutGauge Delay 100
OutGauge IP 192.168.45.4
OutGauge Port 30002
OutGauge ID 0

I have setup Wireshark (a packet sniffer) to capture all traffic to 192.168.45.4 but when in-game there is nothing being sent at all

I have restarted the game since modifying the cfg.txt.

What am I doing wrong here?

Thanks
That IP you specified in cfg.txt has to be IP of the computer LFS runs at. LFS doesn't send anything anywhere, it just listens on a certain IP/port and waits for an OutSim/OutGauge app to connect. Only when the connection is established it sends data.
You also shouldn't use the same port number for OutSim and OutGauge.

That's incorrect, you confuse InSim with OutSim/OutGauge. OutGauge and OutSim information is sent via UDP to the host/port specified. It doesn't care about whether the same port is used either.

NathanE, were you on track when you tried it? Or watching a replay? Mode 1 limits the output to live driving, mode 2 will also send information from a replay.

That is completly false, sorry.

LFS sends the packets whererever you want. That's the way to catch them in a laptop or in a phone

OutGauge packets are only sent whilst on track. If you are at the garage or at entry screen you won't receive any packet.

Just 1 thing I want to know: Isn't the delay too high? It's set between 1 and 5 for most programs
Never mind chaps. I've sorted it. It was nothing really. Just that each time I was closing LFS it would overwrite the cfg.txt. So all my setting changes were being lost and I wasn't realising (was using Notepad for editing!)
Oh, that happens quite a lot to me when I'm editing the cfg too
