And here I was thinking Wiki got discredited

On the subject of US cars. If (say) Ford bought up the entire VW/Audi group, would you still be whining?
So yeah, It's either car manufacturers making you have more bolts for safety, Or it's more bolts for more evenly distributed weight.

That's quite realistic.

And I will be your nightmares Becky. <3 What have I done! XD
><

you could have told me!!!!!
Dam its hot in here lol
......?

The only nightmare I could have over a girl is failing to satisfy her, and that aint gonna happen*.

*Offer excludes drunk sex, quick groapes, getting back at ex sex and the first 2 times with any new partner.

In around your mouth and around another special place.

Just come out of the logilove closet.
If you drive with the hubs locked in the you are going to suck gas not save gas! You would constantly be driving in 4 wheel drive!

You are completely off topic! Modern day vehicles do not require adjustments to drive via hubs. They are computers and switches. May it be suggested you read the thread fully before posting.

Then again, this is just a spamfest now so post ahead!
Serious Q

Do the positions of the bolts affect weight distribution?

Wait wat? Have you invented 4-wheel drive without heavy driveshafts etc.? You're a genius!!

Yes.

If you are using 4 - 8 ( Hubcap in center, four around that, eight around that ) then you are excellent distribution Having 2 would off balance it If you use I (Bolt, Centercap, Bolt) Then when you roll around till the bolts look like --- Then you are bearing alot of weight on them, could cause metal fatigue.

I suppose, I'm going to see if it effects the ride of my car, will report back in a few
That helped, tyvm

I don't understand what all that means. But the torque of the nuts/bolts preloads them so that fatigue isn't a problem (unless the cyclical loads are greater than the preloading). It's on reason why some bolts are tighter than they 'need' to be.

It wouldn't be in 4 wheel drive unless the front driveshaft is engaged (transfer case in 4HI/4LO on newer vehicles, older vehicles have separate levers to engage the front driveshaft and select the range).
