Well, good lyrics are very much a subjective thing for most people. Seems some people can't see past the style of music and automatically claim whatever they don't like as crap.. ahwell. Here's some of my favorites:

A lot of people say that.. but, I can't think of any other voice that would sound right with that music. It gets a little annoying to some people, but it just fits perfectly with the music imho.

To say a song with good lyrics would be hard as lots of them do. But one song that always changes the mood to happy (though the music does that more then the lyrics) would be The Fray - She Is. With the most catchy part of the song being this:
