I would love to get a little model of the XFR with my own skin on it heh
Quote from JJ72 :how much is the cost of a soild block of aluminium for say a 1:48 model?

I was planning on doing 1:24 (about 6ins long) a block of Alu for that would be less than £5.

Dan,
I'm only interested in 1:18 models I don't go any smaller than that

I once saw a guy on tv, he made his own car models, don't know how, but he just did it as a hobby... And he was very good at it too. I think it was a dutch police officer, he made all the dutch police cars...
its not the same as you guys are talking but i'm into modelmaking and have wanted to painted my old ford cossie for a while now (was gonna be a team 400 one but shite happens)
Just to get back to the MRT, unlike most other LFS cars, i don't think it's
worth it machining a roll cage, seems to me it would be much simpler to
weld small 'tubes' like the original. The engine, hubs, wheels, etc... could
be machined from blocks of metal though.

MRT would require assembling different parts I am quite sure.

Oh danowat keep us informed I would really want one
Without a decent, smooth IGES, I can go no further really....
