eh, wtf does retired mean? I couldn't do anything, I was stuck there. It says I was going 44mph, but i couldnt move anything, car was running, but no engine sound.

There are massive holes in teh ground everywhere. You just have to know where to look

It might have been the host. In patch P2 admins can display those messages to any player. Maybe he wanted to fool you?
