Nah, right now it's not needed. Perhaps when more features are added to LFS it will become a must, but right now I'm happy to choose my own pitbox.

I thought you were a purist? You can't pick your own box in RL, so you shouldn't be able to in LFS imho.

Good idea, but as mentioned the graphical part needs to be not-arcadey...

I am a purist. But the benfits of fixed pit boxes don't outweigh the benefits of not having fixed pit boxes RIGHT NOW in LFS. AS I said, when more features are added (more pitstop features, improved damage, visible pit crews, skinnable pit boxes etc etc, then it will become a necessary feature.

Sure, in some league races it might be nice now, but as league races only make up 1% of the LFS mileage, then theres not much point YET.

I'm all for it. If it was added tomorrow I would be happy. I'm just saying it's not necessary right now, so I can wait...

And now, this is necessary features.

You won't probably benefit as a demo user, as most club races that use basic road cars don't have assigned pit garages. Hopefully LFS will take this into account...

Assigned pit boxes would be a welcome addition but are some of the pitlanes long enough to accomodate the unlikely event of 20 cars pitting at the same time?

Yes, but...

assigned pit boxes are a must. there have been a few times in official races when there aren't enough pit boxes left for me to pit. Would be a good improvement.
