Hi , dont u think that the race lenght is too long?
Yea,those distances in kilometers would be pretty much hardcore, even for me,an endurance racer, because cars aren't as fast as Nascar... But ok,it's your league,go on!
But one thing - you do know, that it's impossible to set lapcount like 264 or 158 in LFS,because after 100 it's possible to set 110,120,130 etc, right? The rest will be pacelaps or something?
Huh, I didn't really think of the lap count going into hundreds. I'll think of shortening the length to the same number km rather than miles so that it is not quite as long if more people would race in it that way
Updated (I'll fix the event listings on the calender when I get the time to do so)

Race 2 (2-26-11): KY1, 99 Laps (300 km), FOX

Race 4 (3-26-11): KY1, 130 Laps (400 km), XRR
Race 5 (4-16-11): KY1, 82 Laps (250 km), FXO

Race 7 (5-14-11) KY1R, 99 Laps (300 km), FZR/XRR
Race 8 (6-4-11) KY1, 160 Laps (500 km), F08
---- (Summer layoff)
Race 9 (9-10-11) KY1, 130 Laps (400 km), FXR
Race 10 (10-1-11) FE3, 56 Laps (200 km), GT Class (FZR, XRR, FXR)
Race 11 (10-15-11) KY1R, 99 Laps (300 km) FXO
Race 12 (11-5-11) KY1, 200 Laps (600 km), BF1

It'll still be an endurance race of sorts lol

I'll have to check and see if the server will let me enter an odd lap number like 211 tonight when I get home

It won't. Many have tried before you, all have failed.

Nice job on reducing the race distances though.

Maybe you should think of balancing the cars a bit if you don't wanna end up with a 95% FXO field at race 6 and a 80% FXR field at race 10.
I'll look into it, but I like the idea that people could chose different cars, I'll see what everybody who is interested thinks about it.

Huh, that's sort of odd that they have such an error in the lap setting. We'll just run pace laps do do a green white checkered I figure lol.
...and the convertion to kilometers isn't really correct - oval is 3km long (at least oficially),so 300km race should be 100laps and so on.

I figured the orig. lap numbers for 1.9 miles (or 3.05 KM) so based on that I've got different numbers than what 3 km exactly would. I just divided the laps by 1.609433 and rounded up

Hey, do you think there would be more interest if I modified the season a bit? I'l take ideas, and I'll likely reduce the number of oval races due to the fact that LFS doesn't have the tracks that could produce the right kind of season (mostly the fact that it only has 1 oval and it is a mostly skilless wide-open oval.

I'd be willing to reduce the season to 4 oval races... Would there be more interest in this?

NO

NO

lol, like I said, I'm just seeing what public opinion on this idea would be. I'll likely keep the schedual as it is for this year anyways
I'm going to wait until a week or so after the end of the Realistic NASCAR Event, but I don't think that there's enough interest in this at the time being. If you interested sign-up. You do not have to race for the championship to compete in a given race.
