SetupServerSocket : Bind Failed
Hey guys im having the same problem as a lot of other people are latley.
So i thought id start an official thread for the problem.

EDIT: Ip Adress should be '192.168.1.3'

1) On this image here i have my own ip adress in the field. Is this correct or not?
2) If not what should i put in that field?
3) Also on the image i have put in the default port number. Is this correct or not?
4) If not what should i put in that field?
5) If there is any other things i have done incorrectly please tell me.

On this image i have started a server like the first image but without an ip adress filled in. When i do this my server loads and starts, But to other users (including myself with another instance of lfs running) it does not show up in the master server's list or (as i have done here) clicked on the join game option and searched for my server. This is what happens.

I have my '.cfg' files if needed.
Thanks in advance

Dont put that IP address in and port forward / open the appropriate ports to your local machine. UDP/63392 and TCP/63392, and UDP/29339 and TCP/29339 are the usual defaults.

Just so everyone knows.
How do i do this?
Im too having the same problems how is this solved?

How do you connect to the net? Through a router? If so you'll need to forward the ports angel mentioned. www.portforward.com
Nope we have a router but its open
#7 - Davo
What do you mean open? Routers are closed by default. So unless you've gone into the admin and forwarded those ports oz added the server to the DMZ it's closed.

Also check the IP that you've got in your set config file. It shoudl be 127.0.0.1

edit: actually don't specify any ip and LFS should bind to all available. What IP and port are you specifying in the config file?
ip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

port=63392
We use it as a switch type thing...lol
#10 - Davo
Well you need to establish if it's a router or switch first. If it's a router then you need to get your dad to forward ports 63392 and 29339 to the IP of the computer the server is running on. Both TCP and UDP protocols.
I put this IP port in 29339 and its loading everything OK! Thanks for the help....lol

Cool
Now do you know how to make the names colored?
#14 - Davo
Press CTRL in LFS to select colours, or use the following before the letter/word to change colour

^0 - black
^1 - red
^2 - green
^3 - yellow
^4 - blue
^5 - violet
^6 - cyan
^7 - white
^8 - no color
Hi all.
I have the same problem.
IP line in config file: //ip=xxx (not used)
I'm allow sockets for lfs.exe in firewall, that not helps...

trying few different ports from 20000 to 65535, and no result.

(Server have direct LAN internet connection)

Please help.
