I read that when you get the S2 version of the game you can see each other's skins... but it also said you had to upload them to the LFS server or something.

Can't they just download when you join a game?

Yes, they are downloaded automatically when you join a game, from the LFS World server. So, you have to upload 1024 car skins (and 512 helmet skins) to your space on LFSW. You can only do this if you are S2 registered.

But you can see other people's skins if you have them on your hard drive. Download your friend's skins and put them in your LFS/data/skins_x folder. When you next meet online you will see their skin. The file name must be identical so don't change that.

Some skins that people make are only for themselves to use (personal skin), it is a good idea to find out first if the skin is a team or personal skin before using it for yourself. Skins you use yourself are placed in the LFS/data/skins folder.
