Hey guys(and gals), anyone here that has skinning skills?

I'd like to race in the Apex Cup, but I can't open the psd files and bringing my ideas into the graphic programm is difficult, and in the end, it doesn't look very nice, rather like someone who puts a giant poster of something on his room wall

Even though my FBM skin for the Mini-FBM champ wasn't that great, I liked it, it gave the field a special touch

Something Japanese/Anime-like would be interesting. I don't care about Itaisha, if it's done properly, it doesn't look bad.

its not an FBM anyways, I use it as racing league skin but I guess i should try creating skins for one-seaters

Well, the Apex Cup will features at least 5 different car models, from single seater to Touring Car and MRT.

That's looks rather impressive, not like me who sticks a pic on his car.


I have GIMP, but even with GIMP I am not very good, and Photoshop's too confusing for me...

Photoshop is easier to use than GIMP.

If you can draw a design I can put it to the skins for you.

I'm crap at coming up with ideas for skins, that's why most of mine are recreations of other designs. (Ridge Racer/race liveries).

XRT was my last skin, took me a while (few weeks iirc) to get it like that though. The RAC is from a toy car (Vauxhall/Opel Astra/Kadett), and the XFR is from Ridge Racer 5.

On the hood and the sides yes, the roof is ok, the writing is even ok at some sort.

Something in MS Paint will do, as long as it doesn't look like a 5 year old with crayons and a nice wall that's just been wallpapered/painted has drawn on.

It will. Because I can't do crap with MS Paint ROFL sadly. I can't even draw a straight line.. I can only roughly describe my thoughts because I can't put them down(on paper or whatever).
