its bin around a year since i first had a go of my uncles old acoustic, and i have improved alot in the time, but im still fairly basic. i dont think anyband can beat guns n roses though (<<hence the avatr<<), even the solos have a sense of emotion to them if u understand what i mean, rarther than just playing really fast notes that mean nothing. wes montgomery is a good jazz guitarist too.
im using a rip off fender of my uncles atm but i must buy my own electric as the switches n nobs rare starting to wear on it
Actually I find many of the music pieces of the LFS music add-on pack are really really good.
As for music, since everyone posts their stuff... I just started playing the bass three months ago. I'm studying the theories properly, too: music notation, chords, inversions, tempo, everything...
I bought a shiny new Spector. BTW for the Europeans, I highly recommend the German Thomann Musichaus online store, it has very good prices and excellent, and I really mean EXCELLENT, customer support.
Funny thing, that in my 27th year of life I'm starting to learn music. And I learned so much, so quickly. It's never too late!
Hi. I don't know much more than what I posted already. They re-formed with David Lee Roth... What they released wasn't all that, and I think they cut the tour short or something and throwing lee roth out again.... they used Sammy Haggar agan, and the tour they threw was very expensive to see. Apparrently too expensive as ticket sales were horrid... I'm not too sure about all that, but it was something like that... The last time I seen VH was in '88 on the Monsters of Rock Tour (anybody remember George Lynch and Dokken?)
Lol what's sad is that people can't even master what's possibly the easiest bassline ever written
Don't remember seeing this thread before - I've played guitar for over 10 years now, both classical and electric. Got my grade 8 classical when I was 14 but have sadly let that slip in recent years.
Just play casually with friends/housemates now, mostly ska punk. Going to try moving back to classical soon though as its something I really enjoyed, but didn't appreciate enough when I was younger.
My band used to cover that back in 1993 or so, but we swapped all the chords for dominant 7ths through a wah-wah, put fretless slap bass and a sixteenth-note hi-hat pattern on it to make it a bit juicier! We also did the ending in a half-time dub reggae style. Always a crowd-pleaser
the only audience I play to nowadays is my two girls dancing around the kitchen floor while I play scooby-doo...pretty sad I know, but hey they think I'm a superstar rock star whoooHooo!:bannana_g scooby-dooby-do...comin after you...gonna solva that mystery...la la la la la la
Edit hold on there and I post a you-tube of me singin it lol!...naaaa!
I don't have much appreciation for pointless videos posted on youtube, music or otherwise. What can I say though? Just work on getting it perfect I guess.
I have played guitar for aprox. 6 years now or something.
I`v been in different bands, just with friends and such so nothing special.
Sadly I can`t play much good sonds, since I don`t practice that much One hour each day is not enough, and sometimes I wish I would have patient to sit many hours so I had been good
And btw, all you that plays guitar, you NEED a program called GuitarPro. It`s the best program out there
I've been playing guitar for 11 years now, although I'm actually a singer. Taught myself using a book of scales from Total Guitar (although I only really learned 2 or 3) and a book of chords my dad loaned me from about 1965. I started writing songs about a month after I picked up a guitar for the first time.
Uninteresting fact - due to me misreading the book, I learned the A chord wrongly and play it with my fingers in a triangle rather than a line. No idea how I managed that but I can't seem to un-learn it now.
Mainly as I dont post a link to them on the forums saying look at these. Furthermore you may notice I've done about 20 miles or so in the last what, 6 - 9 months, I barely even play this game these days. But still, well done for taking the time to find them out.
Dont you just love internet arguments. Complete waste of time, which is why its lucky I have some time to burn before I go out tonight.
