- Line 6 Spider IV 75 (75w)

And 2 Guitars :

- Squier Stratocaster (customised, not finished)

Found some photos on my phone...

This is my double bass, it's a Czech-built laminate strung with Thomastik Spirocore Weich E and A, and Evah Pirazzi Weich D and G. Sound is very dark and bassy, I mostly use it for busking and party jams, but I'm looking for a full-time gig on it. This is the only bass I play at home these days.

This is my Squier Jazz, I stuck DiMarzio Ultra J pups in it, and it's got a push-pull tone pot which switches the pickups between parallel and series. It's strung with La Bella flats (760FLs) and I use it for reggae and rocksteady mostly. Massive beefy sound. Plays great for a £100 bass, I do a lot of gigs on it.

I don't have a picture of the front of my main bass! It's a 1991 Warwick Thumb, currently strung with EB Slinky roundwounds 100-45, stock MEC electronics. Beautiful thing, I'll never sell it.

The amp is a Hartke LH500 - 500 clean watts through a Fender Bassman-style tone stack. Cab is a Schroeder 1212L - two neodymium 12s and a tweeter, can be carried in one hand and will handle 800W, brilliant little cab, always surprises sound guys with the massive sound it makes, easily drowns out pesky guitarists.

I'm a bit of a pedal nerd but I've scaled down my board recently, it now consists of...
Top L-R:
Boss OC-2 Octave (my favourite bass effect, I solo the -1 Oct voice),
Bugbrand Bugcrusher Micro (it's a sample rate reducer, very mental), Chunk Systems Octavius Squeezer (single-oscillator analogue synth + LFO + 2 filters + a gated fuzz circuit in one pedal basically),
Planetwaves CT-04 tuner
Bottom L-R:
Line 6 M9 (I mostly use it for pitch shifting / harmony and delays, it's a great unit though)
Red Onion true-bypass looper (used to isolate the Octavius Squeezer - it means I can use the Squeezer's two footswitches for tap tempo and modulation or prev/next rather than wasting one of them for switching it on/off)
In the photo it's a Boss LS-2 but I've replaced it with a custom SFX 2-channel mixer and line driver (the only pedal that is always in my signal chain - the OC-2 is in one side of it, the Squeezer and the M9 are in the opposite channel)
Bespeco VM-18L (expression pedal for the M9)

Well, you did ask. :\

Haha, that's look good

Did you ever played in a band?
And what the function of pedal on the top right? The one that looks like a Timer
That's the tuner?
Yes that's the tuner. It's not great actually, a bit noisy.

I've been playing in bands for about 20 years, I did it professionally for a while in my early 20s.

How long have you been playing?

I'm playing guitar for over 1 year now, not so much experimented, i've played synth before (and i still to use it)

I'm in a band for the moment, we playing some covers but we do some compositions too.
We have few concerts planned this summer, especially for the music fest (21th june, don't know if it's did in another country than France)
I just have a cheapie, Cort G200 Strat copy and cheap $100 amp to noodle around on. Can't seem to find the actual picture of my guitar. Can't remember where I uploaded it to, so here are some photos when I was playing around with the camera.

I went to see Kev play his bass and snapped this. Thought you were more my age, Kev.

If that was my bass it would have the finish missing down the edges from laying it on paving slabs every day all summer.

I don't know how you got a photo of me playing someone else's bass.

Edit: Also his left hand position is pretty poor, my thumb never points to the sky like that.

Photos look nice

Bend on the 2nd photo haha

I think we can do some nice things with a guitar, cheap or not, like my Squier Strat that cost only 140€

You have it quite well maintained as for playing in passed years.

Mine is tad hung on the nail. I used no preamps nor pedals.
This is custom made (my own design) 5-string fretless - it was stringed years ago so I dont remember what type of strings there is. It has very thick wood with very deep sound although bit stiff - it wont give soft electric upright sound but is great as ... fretless electric bass

It took you how many days to build it?
I paid my Guitat (ESP F50) 200€ and my Line 6 GX Pod 60€ and I get a really good sound! And it's really pratical to record.
And by the way the guitar looks pretty cool

Haha too metallish for me

It was ordered to be built by one of the best guitar makers here. I dont remember now how long it took to be made - 2,3 months. The neck is one piece bubinga wood, but it is glued in to the body which is as you can see multilayered so it took time to glue it.

Well, it hangs on the wall, I take it couple of times a year to play - and you know what? no need for tuning in good stuff.

My Warwick's neck (thru-neck contruction as you can see) is a laminate of bubinga and wenge, and the body is solid bubinga.

It's got a 26-fret neck and a tiny body for a bass guitar but it weighs more than most 5-string basses. Bubinga is like concrete!

Mine guitar maker had only one belief - the mass
So he used bubinga for the neck, and body is oak/maple with mahogany splits.
