EA just confirmed they're working on a new free to play Battlefield game.
It is based on BF2, but without the commander function. The game will have 16 vehicles, like jets and tanks. You can apply for the beta on their site from today on! I am excited about it, how about you?

Awesome, it's been years since I've been routinely TKed by my own teammates because I got in a vehicle they wanted.

Hey, it's also been years since I marched from one control point to another only to get creamed by an invincible guy in a jet (presumably made off with it before anyone on his own team could TK him), I must've missed that experience? Funnily enough no, it wasn't that much fun.

Bring back BF1942.

BC2 was a lot of fun, BF2.. not so much in public servers. Loads of fun with UKCT guys though.

BFH was epic though at first, before they really ramped up the difficulty as in not being able to be even remotely competitive anymore without micropayments.

Meh, it's rubbish anyway IMO. BF2 is nicer.

Meh... I was invited on day 1 of Closed Beta.... Eversince then I maybe have played it for 2hours total... Like Bose said, BF2 is still better.

But then again, it was very buggy at the time. So maybe it got better now.
