So, PC confirmed (SWEET!). They're back to the story modes which I'm not sure about. Really enjoyed Hot Pursuit from Criterion Games so if they're making this as well, I have some pretty high hopes from the game. If it's back to Black Box, I'm not expecting too much from it.
I totally get why people want another Underground since I freaking loved underground 2 (beat it probably more than 10 times), but I don't see how they could make it way better. What all could they add that would make the game a lot better?
apparently the frostbite 2 engine will be going into the run
"The Frostbite 2 engine is powering Battlefield 3, but it's also feeling the Need for Speed, and this November, it's going on The Run, an illicit cross-country race stretching from San Francisco to New York. Get ready for the race of your life as you battle the world's most notorious drivers on the country's most dangerous roads."
yeah, illegal street racing (in its rice form) is dead, and EA has moved on to the track racing/drifting world. Take a look at Speedhunters, which is a EA site after all.
I still like Underground 2, mostly because of the sound, but it had a lot of flaws too: No wheel support, bad balancing (AE86 godlike in racing, 240SX in drag and the Golf GTi (!) in drifting), stupid truck racing and the need to pimp the **** out of your car to move up the storyline.
