Pause problem during M/Player?
Occasionally I am suffering loss of control with a sound blank. The only thing I can do to correct it is to left click on the mouse within the screen to recover control.

Has anyone got any idea's or advice as to what's happening please?
Turn off your screensaver?

If its not screensaver maybe it energy management turning your monitor off.

No, the monitor is not being switched off it just seems like a glitch that stops the cursor from being in the screen, rather like you can get when using two monitors - even though I am only using one.
I already ensure myself that 'CTRL+C' has clipped it to the window.

I think it must be a system thing as it happens in flightsim too.
First of all, scan for malicious software, obviously.

Then, next time it happens, note the time and check your event logs (Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer, or type "event" in the search bar on Vista/7) for crashes at the same time. If a system service crashed, it likely popped up an error report dialog but restarted right away, cancelling the dialog. That's enough to take the focus off the game's window but won't visibly minimise it.
I guess you are running LFS in windowed mode, plus using your mouse to steer. If this is true, you are clicking the edge, or outside, the window, thus losing sound and control. When you click inside LFS recovers the focus and everything works as usual.

Plus, I also guess this only happens in multiplayer because you don't play on single player

Yes to windowed mode and multiplayer and I am using a G25 wheel but I was under the impression that CTRL+C clipped the cursor to screen?
It clips it to the window, yet you can still click on the edge losing focus.

If ou use a wheel, then I suppose some application is getting the focus: InstantMessagging, antivirus...
