According to the reports I've read from credible news sources, the house where Osama was camping out was singled out in August 2010 by intelligence reports and confirmed in February 2011. Then there were meetings starting in March regarding what to do about it. Obama held five national security meetings, and the last one was held on April 28. He gave the order to take action on the 29th.
But to answer your question, no, I don't think it's pure coincidence.
I'm sure it wasn't coincidence that he gave the go order for the operation this week, and I have no doubt he's exceedingly happy that they managed to pull this off right at this moment... both because it will distract somewhat from rising gas prices and the mess in Libya, and because it's a pretty sick if superficial burn to Trump and the rest of the loony right-wingers, regardless of how they try to spin it.
But I also don't think the body's been on ice for the better part of a decade (as *lol* Infowars *lol* would have us believe), and I do believe it is Osama that they got, and I do believe they buried him at sea for the reasons I already posted.
Maybe if he was killed in the US. They had to get the DNA to a lab from a remote city in Pakistan. And the lab had to be ready RIGHT there in the middle of the night local time to finish so quickly.
I'm sure it's possible, but only if they had a full laboratory with expensive machines somewhere in Pakistan.
I noted a couple of things about this which DWB has already gone over. Personally, I really didn't like the way that this killing translated into a tired speech about America being the greatest nation on earth, etc. That's probably a good way to inflame your enemies. And while I do appreciate the need for 'closure', this isn't exactly a celebration. Cheering the death of anyone, even someone like Bin Laden- is kinda repulsive. A 'good riddance' is about all anyone should muster in an event like this.

Interestingly, I recently came upon a documentary of Jose Escamilla. There are just too many credible people that stated that they would repeat what they said in the movie under oath in front of US Congress.
