Teams & starting numbers for OWRL F1 2011 announced




Under one week for the start of the OWRL F1 2011 season, the teams for this season have been announced. Eleven teams have applied for a position this season. The team champions from last year, Redline Racing, have been handed the lowest starting numbers. Can Quentin Benoît make the driver championship with it this year? He will be up against many experienced drivers from well known teams such as Sonicrealms Racing, 1stBFA and Tiger Express Motorsport and some fast newcomers such as the Italians from Playerzone.

The server info will be announced on the day of the event on www.owrl.de.

OWRL allows a maximum of 13 teams at the races. Teams of at least two drivers are still welcome to apply but will be put on a waiting list.

#24-25: [spdo] Speedo Racing has been added.

This adds last years' champion Adam Wisniewski to the roster. This means that the two drivers who only finished 12 points apart last season, Adam and Quentin Benoît, will continue their fight this year, with plenty of others willing to mix the top two up!

And also Inex Racing has been added, giving us a full grid.

Teams that apply now will be placed on a waiting list. Once places clear up, the team at the top of the waiting list will be added.

Two more changes just before the season starts tonight:
- Playerzone Team B has pulled out
- White Tiger Express Motorsports has been added.

Can i sign as a one car team or is it strictly two car teams at all times?

You will need to sign up with a two car team. However, there will not be a penalty if your team does bring only one car to a certain event.
