IGTC 2011: Season Balancing

Season Car Balancing:

After careful review, calculations, and testing, we have arrived upon our final balancing numbers for the 2011 IGTC Season. We feel like we've arrived at a fair balance that should promote exciting racing, and we would like to thank the drivers who assisted us in testing. This year's balancing is primarily intake restriction-based rather than ballast-based, which should hopefully allow the FZR teams to avoid the kind of tire problems we've seen with high ballast in past seasons. The balancing to be used this season is:

FZR: 2% intake + 5kg ballast
XRR: Standard
FXR: Standard

Teams will have until their confirmation post for the first round to announce their car choice (i.e., Thursday, June 16th at 16:00 UTC).

Just wait until about 15 laps into the race and they will be.

I remember hearing about a 2% IR + ballast being considered 2 years ago or such, it'll be interesting to see how it stacks up in a season compared to the usual ~23kg.
Will kill the FZR on the straights imo.. but atleast it will help to save the tyres and let us whip it around the corner a tad faster

FZR has always been to fast down the straights and has had way to much punch out of the corners for far to long, really hoping teams test all the cars and not just think the FZR is the fastest straight out of the box.
