I want a little mid engined RWD street car (1100kg 180cv or less). Something like a toyota MR2 or MG F to compete with RB4 and company. or even something lighter like a Lotus Elise
I didn't include an "other" option because I wanted to make the poll as clear cut as possible.
We've already got relatively lightweight front engine, RWD cars (GT, GT Turbo, and LX4). I don't think that removing the roof would make either of the GT cars handle significantly different. It would only make them look more like a Miata. I wanted to make sure that the poll options were all *significantly* different from what we've got now. And, like I said in the first post, I tried to include everything that wasn't already fairly well represented.
A WRC car and a V8 sedan are both selections in the poll. Once we get one car in each class, then we'll worry about filling out the rosters.

If i could add the fourth, i choose a Nascar Stock Car, but with more oval tracks.
M3 Style - M3 is THE drivers car (steering balance braking handling), and this is a driving sim, would be awesome and be the basis for a perfect M3 GTR type race car.
V8 Roadster - A Cobra replica or similiar would be fun. Probably make for some good racing. Lightweight and 300-450 like a factory 5.0
LeMans. It would be interesting to see what the guys could come up with. Freedom in the engine, chassis, and bodywork. Good for highspeed races around the Kyoto infield.
I think you'll find the M3, whilst undoubtedly being a good handling car, is nowhere near the top of the list, and thats before you take value for money into account. It's brakes aren't as good as a Porsches, the balance isn't 100% as it's too compromised by being a 5 seater, and the steering is ruined by BWM's electronic random steering ratio generator (optional I know).
Never ever let yourself blindly believe that BMWs are 'drivers cars' in the true meaning of the word. Good? Sure. Best? No way! And the owners, aprt from the single exception of a Scawen Roberts, are the worst scum in the world other than chavs and ricers. Even worse? A chavvy BMW owner who bolts on a bodykit, some phat rimz and a dustbin for an exhaust.
PLEASE excuse me for not specifying I meant Pre-E46 generation M3s, The pure ones without all the extra weight and electronic gizmondos. And lets not get into talking about all those 911 owners putting "turbo" badges on their cars, wheels, and other nonsense. I find porsche owners to be far worse than m3 owners, and I imagine far more m3 owners (pre e46) actually track their cars.
edit- BMW owners... typically scum. BUT, the two M3 owners I really know well are completly decent and nice fellows.
I don't like BMWs myself, but I just can't help seeing Manfred Stuck's BMW M3 GTR running over the Nordschleife in my mind whenever I see a BMW...
Anyway, beside a LMP car, which got my vote, I'd like to see the 190hp range populated. A BMW M3 E30 and a Porsche 944 S come to my mind. Then give them some Audi A3 Quattro-like AWD to play with and a new class is born.
All of these in stripped-to-the-bone racing-equipment please. Not one of those goes with more than 1000kg to the track.

AFAIK, the BMW electronic random steering ratio generator is not in any M3 as of yet. Last generation of the M3 is the e46 and that thing you're talking about has first been implemented/shown/sold in the e60 5 series. Then I would agree on the point if you had told me about the SMG-II gearbox, but then again it's an option and in any case is light years ahead of Porsche's tiptronic. It's not got the balance of a more nimble car, but it's got 50/50 weight distribution. I would consider the M3 more like a 4 seater than 5 seater. Oh and here a 911 costs more than an M3.

Point in here anyways being that we've got a 911-thingy in the FZ50 already. It would be nice to get a M3-thingy and a Corvette-thingy to go with it. Would certainly go with it better than LX6 and RA (which could form their own class). IMO it would be awesome. More so than a 60's musclecar that will have rigid axle suspension and be shit around turns.
