i do know for sure that my x800gto does not like the 6.6 drivers... i use 6.5 based omega drivers.

I would say that your problem is cpu based, lfs is very cpu demanding and whatever video card you would have you would allaways have poor fps performance... not only in lfs anyway, that cpu is a botleneck to your system.

I had one celeron 2000 years ago... even in s1 i had very few fps.....
My advice, get a used p4...
