I was racing on CAD and the race stats on bottom left was showing i was 2nd and also the place number at top right was showing i was second. But, on the map I was clearly 3rd and not 2nd, and i am positive that the 1st place was not a lap behind as this was on the 3rd lap. I took a screenie but its disappeared :/ .
This happened to me twice in CAD. I will try to reproduce

Were you at an open config? The position list updates after crossing a checkpoint in that case, because of an absence of a PTH file.

i've found that on some tracks, you can be a car's length (or two) away from the person behind you and it'll still think they're ahead of you. i've had it happen on kyoto and aston.
