I got no idea whats going on. I log on to Pro Racing Room. I exit the pits and i pit again cause i relised that i had the wrong setup. I change my setup, leave the pits again. When i mean leave the pits, i mean leave the garage, i got out of the pits say 50metres give/take and the active host, Ninja469 goes to me, "Need more practise, Say Bye Bye" and i get banned.

Can someone tell me what the hell i did? I remember afew weeks ago i got banned from the same guy cause i said "F**k". Banned! I wasnt told before i said it not to say it, and i wasnt warned not to say it again. So I tried again tonight to see if i was still banned and i wasnt.

Ive never been banned from a sever before.. I dont know what i did but its pathetic that im getting banned from a server i want to/perfer to go to, me being in australia.

A replay would help, otherwise I'm afraid you'll have to take it up with the server admins.

I guess you should try to contact the server admins directly or look if they have an own forum. Posting such things here is almost never a good idea and gernerally frowned upon.

Take it up with the server owner. You were probably banned for either swearing, weaving or not knowing which way to leave the pits. There is nearly always a good reason. Find that reason and ye shall be enlightened.

Don't make threads about something we can do nothing about - it's a job for the server owner, not us or the devs.

One of my favourite servers but they do tend to be a bit fussy. http://proracingroom.10.forumer.com/index.php is your best bet for an answer. They usually only kick people for lag.

And there is no need to swear on any server allowed or not

well, i think server owners dont need any reason to ban someone, as they provide some service for you, and if they dont like you (or the color of your name, or the car you chose), its their goddamn right to ban you, as long as you dont pay any fees for the server

You cant say there arent enough servers to race on
Just avoid problems like those

I don't think this is the way to go... The admin has this right, though, but it's really lame. Just think about all your mates being on a server, and you cant join. This sucks I guess.
Bans should ONLY be used as a penalty for users who drive only in order to cause trouble. So they can LEARN from this, and be nicer later. Many people will already be p*ssed when you say things like "I dont give my pro setup to noobs like you". Everyone should share his sets, so all racers can have fun. A successful racer, provided with good "equippment" will more likely try to drive fair and clean, rather than someone who feels excluded and who is being laughed at.

Of course, not everyone will learn, but specially young and unexperienced drivers DO learn a lot, not just racing skills, also behaviour
Those who will not learn from being banned, and dont change their behaviour, may be banned of course. There are always idiots, just in real life, but you can influence things a lot just by dealing with them in a more patient way

In regards to the ProRacingRoom, i've found they are very snap happy with their kicking people. The fact that they do almost always have an active admin is good, because it keeps wreckers out of the server at almost all times, but there's one person i've noticed to be very quick to kick.

Oh well, their server, their rules. There's always the Internode server as another viable alternative (albeit not many people use it atm).

I think I'm banned from the DRT server, I had a bad day yesterday, but I don't really know why I got banned. Well, at least the host denies access to me... That's all I know. Would be nice if they'd first say what's wrong, can't really recall they said anything.

Ah well, lost my favourite server, I thought this day would be better than the previous, but untill now it seems it's trying to get even worse than the last one

I got kicked from that server recently (not sure if I'm banned) for lag.

Fair enough, I hadn't checked the ping first and just dived in. Drove for about half a lap without seeing anybody when the admin began a torrent of abuse using as much bad language as his pathetic vocabulary would allow him. Was then booted

If he'd simply stated I was lagging I would have left anyhow as I certainly don't want to race on a laggy server but the way he dealt with it was certainly less than professional so I don't know where the server name came from.

I later checked my ping to that server and sure enough it was high (375) so I shouldn't have been there but given the attitude of the admin I never want to be there again. Lifetime ban please

I've seen a lot of threads on this topic over the last few months. I've always wondered what the author is trying to achieve.

Hi. Well I hadn't been able to play for several months due to a computer frying out....
Ok, so I'm playing again now... as rusty as a 5 year old bucket of nails..
Anyways, one of the things that I noticed happening since I been playing again is
there are a lot of ban happy whiners out there... It really sucks when the server admin is just as much of an **** as a wrecker, & I'm seeing that more & more.

You people need to realize bad physical flaws that's in the game aren't nearly
as bad as what some of the character flaws of the players are.

I dunno, there used to be some group called CRC, Now I guess they're this wrecker blockade group I've read about on the forums....

Maybe there ought to be a group of online players that have a network
that boycotts servers that are run by little Napoleons.
I've seen people wreck, apologize & STILL get booted (In MY case I was threatened by some jack ass clanner/oops team guy so I left & I won't be going back to that server)

Right now, there's only a few servers I'll even really deal with anymore.
I don't want to go to a server and risk some self-made jesus getting upset with me for some trivial reason and winding up on some insta-ban list.

I dunno maybe there ought to be a thing like I dunno... the Independent Racers Union. made up of people (make that CONSUMERS) that don't have three letters in front of their name. So we could have some sort a collective power too.

No I don't recall the spesific insident, sorry. If you were votebanned the ban lasts for 24 hours. If the admin really banned you, well, I hope he had a good reason.

Correct, I think the Wrecker Barricade is a great idea, but the Clean Racers Club has no connection with this idea whatsoever.

Its very rare that a ban is served on a CRC server, if it is, it is done for actual reasons.

It's a fact of life that server admins are also LFS drivers. The only difference is that they have control over who races on one or more servers. Not all server admins place as much emphasis on fair and competitive racing as you or I. It's my experience that MOST DO, but just as there are wreckers in S2, so too are there wreckers taking up the admin role.

If I were banned from a server for no reason that I could see, or for some reason which itself defies reason, I too would have no desire to return. Love where you're loved, etc.

Nope, there's no connection between TeamCCUK (the wrecker barricade) and CRC. TeamCCUK and the wrecker barricade are completely independent from any of the teams or servers in affiliation.

However, for the sake of clarification, the barricade itself is being developed/coded by Computeam (CTR) and Slipstream (SSR) team members, and is hosted on/served from the same hardware as the ukct.net LFS servers.

I will close this thread. Not because it's bad but for two small reasons :

1) These threads come up quite often and they are boring.
2) Sometimes they flare up into arguments.

You just have to avoid hosts where you don't get on. If one admin bans you unreasonably then go somewhere else. Don't take that kind of thing too personally.

Better to just read one of the countless other similar threads, because it'll just be the same conversation all over again.
