Hi All,

Thought I would drop a post, as I do, as you know, about LFS. Now, I gave myself a kick up the ass ( no actually the wife did, so she can work from home ) and repaired the home PC. So I thought cool, lets install LFS, dig the old wheel out and give it a bash....after 5 yrs of non activity.....

OMG I here you cry, its fordman, on his soap box again. No not in the slightest, just what I see and how it is.

First off, holy shit I am slow, I might as well go backwards ( GTI Blackward) but expected, hay 5yrs is a long time. Much to my surprise, still using hybrid on the rears, oh come on, should of passed that by now, its like driving moby dick. All in all, much improvement, but..still a fair way to go ( even on basic level, and hay, thats me )

So I turned to FOX and BMW....OMG you said, why oh why, and OMG...what an experience...They are AWESOME, and cannot stress enough, just such fun and controlled where I pointed it. Ok wasn't up to speed, but I enjoyed coming 5th or 6th ( no last LOL ) I am not jesus, I cannot wave my hands part the cars in front and become god LOL.. oh no thats mosses, sorry, bible skipped me there.

All in all, great fun, still the fu-kin idiots ( one took me out in the pit lane, go figure and yes was on a S2 server not demo) but the fun is there. See T1 accidents still happen, LOL, nothing changes I guess.

All in all, a great 3 days of playing although using scavier's setup's, apart from blackwood and gti ( thanks 3j ) but still a long way to go imho.

Don't flame me for this, its just my op, and well, it means diddly shit at the end of the day, but just thought i would give you my view, being away for 5yrs.

LFS is a bit like a water stick. Pointing and waving in the right direction, but waiting to come together and hit the sweet spot

Hay that my OP, I wil be around, so please give me room. I am a old man, need time to calculate braking points, and dont curse me if I brake early LOL

How many random posts do you make about coming back but then you go away again?

Not counting the amount of random posts I make but hey, this is supposed to be about you. Driving in LFS is like riding a bike, if you were good before chances are you'll still be good now.

Its not randon nor a dig at Scavier or LFS, just what I found, from 5 yrs away and how I see it. Its not a personal dig, just as I found it. If you read it, I actually say, its good to be back amongest my friends? Its not a heads up, nor a post to say, hay I am back, its actually a a post that has good points and bad points, constructive in my view.

I am slow, I am crap, if you want the honest truth, but I had emense fun,in certain classes, thats where I was going.

I am not looking for argument, or I am write and I am wrong, just like I said, this is how I see it.

Didn't say it was a dig a Scavier or LFS. No need to get defensive In fact I was sort of giving you a compliment but no... :sadbanana never recognised.

misconstruded S14, I do apologise. I was actaully giving positive comments back here, but they have come across as negative, not intended.

I say it how I see it, and if I have given a wrong perspective, then I apologise.

LFS is good, its more than good, but needs a little tweaking

I do agree LFS needs tweaking - many things would require improvement for me to bother buying another decent sim wheel and finding somewhere to mound it, and I feel the same for many others - however we tend to keep our mouths shut before the "LFS Massive" come and bottle us.

Oh, good...here they come.

Even so, I feel the forum is probably one of the better parts of LFS because even with little game activity there's still plenty of trolling/posting/discussing to be done.

Totally agree with you, just thought I post my personal comments good and bad, but glad to be back with my friends...even if I am shat....who care's, fun is what gaming is all about
