well, I bought Cedega earlier, and have LFS working on it, just without S2 unlock but other than that it works fine.

Also, do you have a cedega version that you would suggest, becuase I might try an older engine to see compatibility.

i dont see the point of buying any emulator when there is Wine... and if i cant get the emulator for free then i wont get it at all

Does Cedega have FFB support?
Wine certainly lacks this and that's why I use windows for LFS.

@jamesrowe: AFAIK you can also get the cedega sources for free from the website... but it seems to be quite hard to compile.

It should have it since WineX 3.0 (http://www.transgaming.com/showthread.php?news=67), but then you need a wheel which uses the iforce protocol for ff-effects. These are listed on the iforce driver page: http://user.it.uu.se/~johannd/projects/ff/doc.shtml .
Unfortunately my Driving Force Pro seems to not use iforce, so I can't verify that the effects are put through to cedega.

iforce is old and dead. wine supports that too, but no one uses it.
