Stop this feeding him with his nonsense
No, why would be? Speedometer is a device that _measures_ (notice the underscores indicating that I stress the work measures) the speed of a vehicle. It it no way limits or otherwise affects the speed. It is also worth noting that speedo is not a really precise device, the real speed can differ from the "speedo" speed by as much as 10 %.

Quote from Marin2 :Yes, it could be, with car of 800 kg.

My last car (Proton Wira, 84 HP, 1000KG) would only do 107. I think it's unlikely that +10HP & -200KG would end up with a +24 MPH top speed.

My car (MG ZT, 1600KG, 150+ HP) will only do 124 MPH.

Friend, that the my "teory" with speedometer is nosense is your oppinion! You have right on it, but you don't have right to disregard me!
I've dramatically improved the performance and efficiency of my car by simply removing the instrument panel cover and turning the speedometer needle up and down to accelerate and decelerate my car.

I've had my Focus (113bhp, over 9000 tons) up around 125mph.

Wow! Awerome! Thanks. , but does the needle moving really accelerates and decacelerate the car? Because you just move it and you don't touch brake or gas pedal?
Please tell me, because "yes" would affirm my "teory", wich is nosenre for som members
HA-HA. I accept good trolling but this is just far enough from it. Go stick your dick in your father's car speedometer needles and see if it moves.
This thread is winning and full of sig-worthy posts.

Yes it really works! Just be careful not to turn the needle all the way around to the start point again... if you have a speedo that goes to 300km/h, and you turn it all the way around... you will go from 300km/h to 0km/h within a few seconds, which can be VERY dangerous if you are not wearing your seatbelt!

It is twice the weight without twice the power. Hardly a surprise. It also has the aerodynamics of a brick.

9000 tons? thats some serious weight!
