Right, precise specs are as follows

Thrustmaster USB Joystick
Windows 7 Home Premium (64bit)

I think for joystick shifter software it's all you need.

I've tried virtual h-shifter but all versions on the forum are direct zips which don't work with 64bit, I've tried a few other programs which was partly in greek and I couldn't make any sense of, Can any of you please tell me the name of 2 or 3 good programs for instance, remappers for joystick to numberpad?
