Session of Incident (Qualifying, Race): Race (pre-start)
Timecode of incident (mpr time preferably, but session time acceptable): 4:00ish
Lap of incident: 1/2 (LFS-style)
Your Car Number: 32
Other Car(s) Involved: 72
Brief Description of incident: #72 grids incorrectly (12th, when he should have been 14th). When the rolling pace lap begins, he then relinquishes 12th to Klaidas but maintains 13th throughout the lap, eventually starting the race in Dario's rightful position. Dario attempts to take his position back at the Boothy chicane but Kerekes doesn't allow it.
While gridding, Car 72 takes up the incorrect spot, due to some other confusion on the grid, partially caused by the failure of the standing start application. At turn 4 on the safety car lap, Car 72 slows after a mistake, and 32 overtakes as allowed by the regulations. However, then Car 32 slows and 72 overtakes 32 again, as he is allowed by the regulations. At the boothy chicane, 32 draws alongside but 72 does not allow him through.
We inquired of driver of car 72 if his request to speak was about this situation, and he reported that that was the likely case.
There will be no formal penalty on car 72, simply a reminder to all to be mindful of who you are supposed to have directly in front of and to your left / right just ahead and to the side of you to help return to the correct spot on the grid.
However, from this incident, Car 42 issued a warning for overtaking before start/finish - Car 42 overtook Car 32 before start/finish on the restart.
Car 76 issued a warning also for overtaking another car prior to start/finish.
Car 74 - loss of 5 points to owner's and team's championship - incorrect skin (missing number on rear wing endplates)
