Some more improvements for Live For Speed(very long list)
Iv'e got a list of ideas to make Live For Speed a bit more realistic
1. Already in-game. But really? You need to turn off auto-clutch?
2. Brake damage, this also includes emergency brake failures. I am not adding break temps although this does follow along with this improvement. By then idea 1 and 3 kinda come into play.
3. If something like your breaks, engine or clutch fail(:really in the middle of the track(some of this idea is already in-game)you would turn on your hazards and pull-over into the grass or an empty area and press a button to call a repair team, once pressed you would have to wait a certain amount of time until the repair team arrives to fix your car with the correct parts. If your breaks fail, idea 1 comes in handy sometimes.
4.(This also applys to idea 5 and 6 as well) I noticed the crash physics kinda, you know, SUCK! I can slam into a wall and just a little dent will be caused into the car. Also If someone crashes into me in the side, nothing happens. The only damage zones seem to be the front end and rear. That needs some fixing.
5.(This applys to ideas 4 and 6 as well) Its to bad I cant get some fresh air by smashing my windows, because I CANT! In real life my windows would have shattered about a crash at 60 mph. While I go up to 120 and a little dent appears on the car. By then you would be sandwiched and covered in glass.
6.(This also applys to ideas 4,5 and 7 as well) Its to bad as well that I cant loose a wheel by not tightening it enough or smashing into a wall at high speeds ether. There should be an option for wheel lugs tightening. Iv'e always wanted to get rid of that "popped" tire.
7. Why cant I make an air explosion out of a tire by doing to many doughnuts or drifting like crazy? That's because you cant. You can only flatten your tires and not be able to drive. In real life I believe the tire would just go BOOM.(I have been to drifting events, I know they just explode, especially at high PSI. After a small hole is created the hole expands due to the pressure inside the tire still. This process happens very fast.)
8.(This applys to idea 4 and 9 as well) My fuel hasn't leaked in this game. In real life I have seen a lot of that. You can cause this by severe scraping(I think ) or maybe a severe crash.
9. I have never scraped in this game at all, no matter how big of a bump or how low I am to the ground, no matter how much heavier I am, no matter if im flooring it to go 120, no scraping.
10. "I cant overheat my engine in this game," some boy said. Then his dad said, "That how unrealistic your game is(You: )." Really? I cant have a working engine temp thingy? Go find a car without one that works, i guarantee it doesn't work because the car isnt working properly. That means my Live For Speed car is messed up? NO. Fix that too.
11. Some ten year old boy(2011): Wee I have unlimited battery life!
Ten year old boy now 20(2021): Awww, I thought i had umlimited battery life. . It seems as though Live For Speed needs some battery physics as well.
12: My oil pressure seems to be unlimited. Here's what I said in a previous post:
Quote :I was thinking of it working on all cars and every like 50 laps on blackwood you would have to change it at pits, also to prevent like pausing game and pressing pit and get a new car, the game would save it. Just for an example.

13.(This applys to idea 2 as well) New start-up sequence. Driver shouldn't hold in clutch in until player starts the car. Here's how it should be:
a. Player presses I, driver turns off car
b. Driver LETS GO OF CLUTCH
(Waiting...)
c. Player presses I again.
d. Driver puts foot into clutch and starts engine.
Better? XD
14. New startup sequence(know its kinda cruise feature).
You should assign 3 keys for Off/Accessories On/Car On.
15. Make this a DRIVING SIM instead if just racing sim. So there would be cruising and racing un the game(sorry, I typed this on my phone)
That is all I can think of for right now. Keep checking for more improvements.

1) Disable autoclutch in Options.
2+4+5+6+7+8+9) Damage physics is incomplete, this will be improved at some point in the future.
3) What's wrong with clicking "Garage" button?
10+12) Engine damage model is very basic as well, only way to damage the engine is by massive overrevving or downshifting too early. This is also to be improved, but I reckon it's somewhere on the bottom of the to-do list.
11) This was suggested a couple of day ago, why would you need to simulate a battery life in a racing car? Standard car batteries work for many many years. As long as your alternator is running, you can't really run out of juice anyway. Perhaps when everything else is done and fixed the devs will add tiny little surprises like this.

3.When you press Mr.Garage/Pit button you loose your position and your back at lap 1.
11. That's not entirely true. Car batteries can die no matter if it is running or not.

More realistic???

3. How many races have you seen a van show up full of pit crew and start repairing a car beside the track? the answer is none, even on a track day you aren't allowed to repair your car on circuit as it is dangerous.

11. once the engine is running, the alternator provides power not the battery. Have you ever had to bump start a car due to flat battery?

please can you stop making pointless posts about cruise related features. LFS is a RACING SIMULATOR

I know it is, all those features are for also racing. So go somewhere else.
Actually something like towing to pits for repairs might be useful in 24h races. IIRC some series allow for a car to be repaired after a serious collision or a crash. If it's declared safe it can resume racing. On the other hand, the repairs usually take some time so unless you want to spend long minutes or even hours waiting till the car gets repaired, such an option doesn't make much sense...

A safety car goes out while another car flips the cars involved in the collision back over and escorts them to the pits to be repaired?

Normally the cars doesnt flips so easily...

At Indy, NASCAR (Indy and NASCAR im not sure) and Daytona Rolex 24H, the rescue team brings the car back to pits, so if the damage is not so big, the car can be fixed and come back to race later...

That does kinda make sense. Besides this part:

Maybe also an ambulance is funny to add... And, in addition a rescue helicopter and a firetruck as well!!!!1111!!
