Quote from duke_toaster :Numbers can't have decimal points. Also, 1.000000 is equal to 1.

Maybe it was suggested 1,000,000 times before

(lol)

This is the metric system ^^
was dynamic day and night suggested 1,000,000 times ? I think its a cooler thing to have before rain. Easier too i think.<img>
Quote from MAGGOT :

I always wondered how those countries that had it backwards (I mean, the other way around...) handled co-ordinates. (Ie. (2.567.847,373) Because, if you guys use commas instead of decimal places, how would you know what the two values are? Do you use a period to split the two different numbers? Or in such cases do you just not seperate your thousands with a comma at all?

We'd write (2,567,847;373).

Lol, wrong

Here in Italy is used the opposite (and i think in all the other non anglosaxons european nations)

1,00000000 is 1

1.000.000 is 1 milion

Always the same problems: wrong side driving, wrong decimal use... lol

Quote from KillerMonkey :We'd write (2,567,847;373).

Ah I see, bringing a whole new piece of punctuation into the mix

Not wrong... just.. different. I think the way we use in North America (and others who have the same system) makes a little more sense. But, that's the way I've grown up learning math so I'm biased. Now, kids get taught the 'Engineer's' method for groupings. (Using a space between the thousands instead of a decimal or comma) which makes the most sense IMHO.

We drive on the right side of the road. Others drive on the left (read, wrong) side of the road. The name of the side we drive on implies that it is the proper way to drive. So there. :P lol
