Post your tighest parking spot
Ever found a parking spot so tight people would say "I dare you get your car in there!"?

Have you parked somewhere really tight and you want to show other people your prowess?

If you said yes to any of the above questions, this is the thread for you. You can also post a comment about the parking (recommended) so other people have some idea about what you have done.

Note: this is not the "somebody got my car stuck on the parking lot" thread! Only post images of parking spots where you have put your car there by yourself!

I'll start. Here's mine:

It was a sunny Saturday, I had been looking for a parking spot for 20 minutes already, when I got into a street close to the beach and I found this. There were 2 cars behind me, but when I saw the spot, I immediately thought: "that's it. I'm parking my car here". I quickly got the car inside the spot so the 2 cars behind me could easily pass, and then started maneuvering. After about 3 or 4 minutes turning the wheel all the way to the left/right, I got it there and could finally go to the beach.

video or it didn't happen!
I use my 4x4 in low range with custom front bull bars (5mm plate) I find I can almost fit anywhere with enough throttle. Its also good when dealing with slow drivers in traffic

I might be wrong, but i'm pretty sure you didn't manage to fit without bumping into the cars a few times. If it was my car in the front or back and i saw you doing that... i'd have happily slapped you in the face...
Or, even more likely, you parked there ordinarily and one or both of the other cars parked that close to you.

It's just not possible other wise.

My tightest parking wasn't parallel, and I have no pics of it, except of the license plates of the cars next to mine to track them if they would've damaged my car... So here's the story: was going to the movies on a saturday night, and there was only one parking lot left. But both cars adjoing said lot parked like total wankers, one clipping the white line, and one even having both his wheel beyonf the line. So I let my passengers out, flipped the mirrors in and managed to park. Had to get out of the car via the hatch in the back.

There is no way you got that car in with those cars where they are without bumping them.

At School me and my friends used to park as close as possible to each other... until my friend misjudged it and ended up parking his bumper in the door of my car... wasn't happy.

The best I've seen was down the road...

They are parked like this every day!

EDIT - I used to go for tiny spaces in my old car, but I love my new car far far too much to risk it now.
On a related note, what's with people not giving two shits about other peoples property (cars) anymore?

I remember when this wasn't an issue here in switzerland, but over the last few years became very common... i'm talking about opening your door and hitting the car parked next to you with it while you get out.

I got my car back from the shop just two weeks ago after it was damaged from a hail storm recently. I always park it as good within the parking space as possible to give room to the cars next to it... but i have one big dent in the rear quarter panel and two paint chips in the door again already... i swear if i ever catch one of those bastards they are going to have a bad day... :chair:
I've got my tank of a Focus Estate into spots with less than a foot of space at either end on a few occasions. If I remember I'll take a photo next time.

Yeah that's so annoying. It makes me want to punch people in the face. If anyone did it to my car and I saw them, I'd kill them. Just a lack of respect from most people.
Let's light a candle for we agree on something for once!

Nope. I actually parked there by myself. I started getting the car into the parking spot very close (read: not touching, but few centimeters of distance) to the car on the front so I could get it as straight and as close to the sidewalk as possible, and I managed just that.

Quote from RiseAgainstMe! :if this post is true (you were the middle car? :really, that's a new guinness world record

EDIT: or, you bumped them a lot as jibber said

Yes, I'm the middle car.

I didn't say "without touching", but I was extremely careful not to actually MOVE or bump any of the other two cars: both of them stayed just where they were before I started parking.

At first I didn't even touch any of the cars, until I started straightening my car. When I got to the point I couldn't move without touching them (very straight), I just went forward and backwards very slowly, just enough to slightly touch (not bump!), and then the other way around until I fit the car there. In fact, that wouldn't even count as "bumping". And as you can see on the photo (click for full resolution), there is absolutely no damage to any of the cars (not even the smallest scratching or anything).

You can clearly see that I have not moved or bumped any of the cars because of the distance my car is from them (about 1cm on front, and 2cm on the back). If I had bumped them, they would be further away. I even took care not to keep the cars "pressing" each other and leave the gaps as you can see. I was pretty fast at turning the wheel (hydraulic steering wheel) but very slow to move forwards and backwards, in order not to cause any damage.

I'm a very careful driver, and I hate it when somebody damages my car so I wouldn't want to do it to someone else's. Also, I wouldn't want to damage my car.
I'm usually quite more careful with other people's than mine.

This is the reason why I'm using 2 parking spaces and leave my car as fas as possible from shopping mall enterance, etc. Here, mostly those door-hitters are womans with bigass SUV's or small Kia's etc, and rednecks from countryside.

You clearly live in a different culture than I do, out here that's grounds for an ass-whooping
If I saw you touching my car while parking yours, I would go bloody mental. Even if you caused no scratches (which is very unlikely...) is regardless. Sounds to me like you have no respect for other peoples property.
What do you expect from a Peruvian Nathan?
Sounds like he does, since he didn't decided to slam into the cars.. who gives a shit if somebody "gently touches" your car.
There were some leaves on my car the otherday, I beat them to shit because my car doesn't like being touched :'(
I didn't think that Nationality or Race would make someone so RETARDED, that they lack any common sense or respect.

Edit: Joke all you like Seb. If you dont mind people doing that to your car, then fine. I however like to look after my cars paint, so if I saw someone nudging it with there cars bumper, which will cause scratches or scuffs, I think I am well within my rights to lose my temper.
Italians are very good in using their cars to make space for it.

Almost every car there has a dent, bump or scratch.

The UK is the only country where people want to batter people for tiny scratches on their cars. I literally couldn't care less if someone bumped my car a couple of times.
