As I lost all my paint applications in a recent hard drive crash, and can't install them due to the IT admin (it's my own machine, but on their network), I was wondering if anyone can create a skin for me, to remember a friend who left college today? If so, can you create a shark skin, that is, a skin where the nose is a shark's mouth, the rear wing/back is the tail, and the body is that of a shark? Is it possible to have the name Sharkey on it (in honour of my friend?)

Perhaps it would be best to tell the members which car you want a skin for?

be an ideal design for the UF, thats really shark-shaped.

I was being slightly flippant when I said all cars, I would ideally like it for the open wheeled cars mainly, and for the UF. Can anyone do a preview skin please? (I don't really think it'd work on the XF cars, would it?)

its not that difficult you can even use paint. (if thats all you have)

Good point, three reasons, one, Have you ever tried using Paint on a touchpad, two, I haven't seen any templates around and three, I haven't done this sort of thing before, any tutorials around?

Oh, I was jokiing about the UF, btw....

As I said in my edited post, my machine, and all the machines on the college network, don't have paint, and I can't install any other software (I managed to get LFS on by unzipping it), as the IT dept won't give anyone admin rights.

So....what to do? (I'm not abandoning the project)

in simple terms:

get paint or use home/friends pc

paint is standard issue on windows, ask around you might find someone has a better program.

Thanks, I've found a way to get Paint working. I was planning to knock up a quick render soon. HOw would you get a grey/metallic effect?

? if you cant save anything to the machine use a memory stick (or a floppy disk) and if you want a render, don't expect one unless your skin is really good, plus they take a while! If you just want a quick preview, use the Skin Viewer available on the LFS site

A few problems with that, I can't get a memory stick very easily (it has to be for work purposes), and my machine doesn't have a floppy drive. So...any ideas?
