when u left the car still, tyre cold down to about 25º, afaik not every type of race use tyre heaters like F1, why not have road tyres temp starts at 25º? same thing to hybrids and knobbly, maybe only race tyres should be "pre heated".

Most championships have banned tire heating (including F1), they only have tire blankets to keep some heat in, which probably don't actually make that much of a difference tbh. It would be good if LFS tires would start off at the ambient temperature

Maybe a server-side option for leagues and such? T1 is hectic enough on warm tires, let alone on cold tires. Less realistic I know, but.. still..

F1 tyres are heated to 85-90 degrees C. How do you do that with blankets?

What temperature are they currently at the start of a race?

20 below optimum, I believe.

Eh? Someone's steered you wrong my son. Those tyre blankets are electric and are exactly what heats the tyres in the first place. Are you saying they heat them some other way and then wrap them in blankets? Because that wouldn't make any dang sense illepall

I was under the impression they had been banned in F1 or there had been talk of banning them. Certainly in hillclimbing they aren't allowed to use them and scrub the tires then wrap them in blankets to get heat into them before a run.

F1 Sporting Regulations, Paragraph 75(f):

I think that it should be a server-side option.

On the tyres side, there is one feature that should be introduced : keeping tyres between races. My upcoming league would have a mandatory pit stop in race 2 of each meetings, but since tyres aren't carried over that is pointless. The races will be very short for most league's standards.

No a lot of club racing championships race with road tires (probably more than with slicks) although treaded road legal racing tires can be along way from the average sports road tire.
