People seriously, Dont like how things work on lfs and the progress within patchs?
GTFO to other sim/forum
You can try iRacing when they take your money and they tell you where and when to race
You can try rFactor and download 300gb of crap to race 1 stupid race
You can try netKar Pro where is "kinda" dead online
I never complain about the updates delays on lfs, i'be playing lfs for 6 years and NEVER got tired of it, i'm still Kicking ass on the track, Making a loot of fun each day
I dont care if the patchs takes 2 or 3 or 60 years, i'm still happy with what i got and that the point
I know the dev "promised" thigs like the vw / rockingham / physics updt, they have they own reason to take the time is need to develope the new content
Is super simple, If you dont like to wait within patch, nobody is holding you at point of gun to stay on the forum nor lfs.
That was all ( For now ) I'm tired of read pages and pages of rage from some ramdon kid who dont have the recently baked cookie-
Now i'm going back to the kitchen to make some sandwiches.
This is almost very funny. LFS is pretty much in a rot that to the biggest part of the world has killed itself, and anyone that says it is not is just deluding themselves. I have found a lot of fun in pretty much the last 3 years, but I think I, and a lot, have pushed it to the limit, have got so sick of monotony, they will pretty much be gone soon.
A lot of people who defend LFS don't play the sim, or they cruise on the sim, a state of affairs that is funny to a lot of people. This isn't really a sim any more, but a moron fest, just check every "team thread" and general thread. The most valued servers are ****ing cruise servers, and quite honestly that should say it all for LFS. You, as developers, should have had it, and no one should give their money to an outdated sim that is based on empty promises from people that can't deliver them anymore. You had my faith in 2008, but not in 2011. You can't live a lie anymore. You are pretty much going to become the West Bro's II..... yeah? Didn't think anyone would go there? Well sadly you have almost become the modern day equivalent....
And the other user who encouraged us to compare the 2010 update to 2011 update.. same promises and almost same development stage.
Do they have any problems? How things are really going except the "soons" and "working ons"?
Seems like this tire physics thing is the main technical development point as it made it impossible to release the scirocco and needs to be worked on to be properly simulated..
This update seems almost like a panic counteraction to community's lack of interest/frustration....
Inouva,
I did GTFO/Other Sim. Been out since 2007 and pretty much enjoying that other sim atm. And that's precisely why I think LFS killed it's self, as CSF said - it's a cruise sim now.
LFS has a lot of catching up to do to be competitive with today's sim standards. Scawen never tells us what he is working on but I doubt it's a bunch of laser scanned tracks for instance. And man, if you have passion for racing, once you tried those laser scanned tracks you can't come back to basic model anymore.
Since I liked LFS so much I am watching the development although it's hard to do. And since there is a "progress report" being posted every year, and it clearly says that it is in near finish state for the last 5 years, I feel like I am being taken for an idiot.
So it's not just a meter of - don't like it - gtfo.
on a serious note you are exactly the kind of moron that sits there saying "THEY WILL COME BACK" when your friends have walked off in search of food when actually they're dead in a ditch.
I actually find it amusing that we get the same thread every xmas/6months time and the same people swallow it. If anything had changed, the postings would have changed. Idiots swallow the idiots revival of LFS that is actually the same thing they swallowed a tiny time ago...
Quite honestly, the funniest thing about this forum is those who believe anything will change. Those who can't actually drive to a decent level normally say its ok... The saddest thing is that with iracing's rather pathetic attempt at a realistic tyre physics model, LFS has yet again chosen to miss the chance to at least release something new. Oh well, so long as a community that consistently create's new posts about LFS is almost satisfied at the length of time they have to realize the difference between Dev's shop and Porno lane, fandabydozy.
IF anyone wanna make a chart of cruise/races/drift server in the "peak" time of the day can show what is more "active" on lfs if cruise or race or drift
Maybe yes, Because i believe in SCAVIER, otherwise they whould shutdown long time ago LFS Master server or the forum, still they are working, that why i keep my feets here and wait that tasty food they are baking
I will support LFS till the day the dev choose to trow it to the bin and shutdown everthing, meanwhile gona keep racing and having fun while you keep finding that sim that can fulfill that hole that only lfs can fill up
Fu*k i'm hungry now, someon wanna a sandwitch with me?
1. First of all happy to know that something is waiting in the wings (although the report is very similar to the last one )
2. +1 Inouva,
3. Coming to RIP LFS, What do you mean by LFS is dead? I am not sure, may be it is not as active as before. But it is still very active. Look at the online and hotlaps stats being updated. Look at the busy servers. look at this thread for example. Hoards of passionate people have responded within seconds. There are many busy servers where I even get "host is full", even other than cargame.nl. Personally I am happy the way it is, ok I am eager to know what is coming up in S3, but still there are lots of fun to be had. I installed other "modern" sims but I still come back to LFS.
And I would n't mind if more content is released before the physics udpate coz it is not like the current physics is totally wrong or something. Ok may be Sirocco depends on new physics, but still if there are fictional cars which will work with current physics, it would be cool to have one small gift in the form of a car or track.
Take your time, what we want is quality not quantity IMO. As much curious and eager as I am about new physics and content, I don't want to get worked up on updates though, I wanna enjoy the sim for what it is now.
People like you are too busy sucking Google dick to realise the increasing popularity of Bing is a godsend. You know nothing about Google but it gets you to your stupid sites so it must be your best friend.
Do some research. http://www.amazon.com/Search-D ... id=1325128624&sr=1-11
You can start there. http://google-sucks.org/about/
Bing brought me to LFSforum.net. It works.
Pathetic... Taken December 2010's report, added 3 words here, deleted 2 words there and here you are, December 2011's report... I find that just a bit easy.
I couldn't agree more with anything that with shashdev's post.
I used to be a fervent defender of LFS. But now, I feel just bored.
ScaViEr, why don't you simply say that you've lost motivation in your work ? I'm sure everyone would appreciate some honesty from you. If you're not in the case I mentioned, just prove us the opposite.
Sad end of story of a dying game that have been the best Racing Simulator in the world...
lol ok yea. Prolly I didn't notice much as I mostly use the "none" view. Also I was thinking may be the legs can move just like hands move on steering.
Even though I'm as pleased as you guys will probably not give a **** about this post, i expected just a tad bit more information. I would especially love to know what we could expect from S3, such as track types and what cars we should expect...
Of course, this would be stupid on a publicity and a salesmans eyes, why you ask? Well here is your answer: When you make a statement like Scawen just did, "more cars and tracks to be released in S3" he doesnt say 10 cars and tracks, nor does he say none, so either way we can only expect minimum from the devs, and only that is fair.
As much as you love to say Eric is a lasy son of a goat, as much do i respect the man fo his work, getting ideas, making sketches is a very hard job, let alone the finished product.
I expect the least, but i can't wait for the releases, whatever it might be we're going to be surprised, i guarantee that.
Just a little pep talk to keep us focused on what we actually are here for and why we are the best sim-society out there.
All the best and good new years to all of you.
