I had to re-install XP and now LFS s2 crashes immediately. Either full screen or windowed.
I just get brief black screen or window and it disappears.

Any ideas? Its years since I last installed it so I have forgotten any tweeks it needs. Its on an 28" iMac under bootcamp. Used to work fine.

Odd tried again tonight and now it wont start again. Are there any extra debug settings that can be turned on. Without any clues I'll have to give up on the game which is annoying.

Turn AA on your video card control panel to Aplication controled. and see if that helps

BTW, what video card you have?

might be a stupid question, but did you reinstall all drivers propperly after your windows reinstallation? And did you erase all data before your reinstall? Not that a fragment of the previous XP install interferes with it.

yes thanka both of you.. it was a frsh install and formated disk first.
install xp then updates then bootcamp tools then ati drivers.. its an ati hd2600 or similar.. will check when i get home.

ok Check in the ATI Catalyst program and AA is already set to Application.

The card is HD 2600 XT (On an iMac 28" ).
Other stuff is running ok like Phoenix RC Sim which is prety new amd GPL which is old so seems quite specific to LFS

I also tried reinstall of LFS from a different mirror (US instead of Germany) but no joy.

Just wish you could get more clues out of the program!!

Can you tell me how to set the display resolution in the cfg.txt? Wonder if its worth limiting it down to start with?

Ok I reinstalled the ATI catalyst drivers.. which did not help.
Then re-installed the Bootcamp 3.0 drivers from the OSX Snowleopard disk and rebooted and the program now starts. So there must be some compatbility thing with ATI driver and the Apple version.
