I moved house recently and my new house has a rumpus room as an extension already put in, I wasn't quite sure what to do with it at first, but I've decided to make it into a racing sim / movie room.
When I was living at my mums my setup looked like this.

In the new house now I was going to replicate a bedroom setup but decided against it.
I picked up a nice cabinet and tried it out with my house mates 37" screen.

Once satisfied that the positioning of the room and layout was okay, my mate took his TV back for the living room.
after some measurements I decided on a 1080p projection room. I found a 90" projection screen on ebay, however the dimensions were only for the screen and not the complete unit. so after a few hours of pulling the whole thing apart and cutting away the screen from the mechanism I maanged to make it fit with about 10mm clearance.

I still have a few things to do such as, building a mid-range PC for LFS/movies and other various games.
Purchasing an amp, center speaker and subwoofer, running some neat wires and cleaning up the layout.
I was considering putting up a fake wall to cover the pipes and such but being that the rumpus room is connected to the garage i decided against it.
Finding the right projector, this is a tricky one they range a lot in price I'm looking for one with a native resolution of 1080p so feel free to put in some suggestions.
I'm in no major rush to get all this finished but I'll update as I go along.
