But seriously, great effort to the Am guys and my internet was a disaster waiting to happen, and having watched stream a little sorry to Ivanov from GenR for a couple of brown pants moments cos of my lag.
Hahaha, well from my point of view was quite pwn I was on ur tail and suddenly you went straight on sand, I looked right to see what are u doin, then you made some "kaboooom" thing - teleported from sand to road. My pants got yellow haahhah
I really i have not idea why he didnt race. Maybe they didnt read the rules. I remember from rules that the driver who did the quals must do at least one lap, isnt?.
I am talking about PlayerZone.
1. Jesse got an epic start, got blocked by some guys (not their fault, just how it happened), had to go to the grass to avoid a bigger incident (and lost a lot of time doing so).
2. Safely returned to the track without hitting anyone.
3. Made side-to-side contact with Perrs at the apex of the right-hander, which caused him to slide/get collected by LLM/start the chain-reaction. This is a racing incident, IMO.
4. LLM barely lost ANY time in this incident.
5. **** off.
1. Ok, he got blocked I understand that.. but you can wait a bit longer? Had to go into the grass... not sure about that the left pedal may have been a decent alternative.
2. Safely... hmm not too sure considering just seconds after rejoining the track he was spinning in front of people.
3. Ok - understand, but the reason he was sliding through the track was because he was too aggresive and went into the grass to avoid an incident instead of just slowing down. (obviously I am not the driver so not exactly sure what happened and why)
4. We lost enough time that we were no longer in the same pack with the others.
5. I thought the point of a protest thread was to allow drivers to protest things that they believe dangerous, unfair whatever. I was not aware that we were not allowed to protest because it might get someone a penalty (apparantly you think thats why I'm protesting). It isn't. I am protesting because I do not think anyone should be allowed to drive like a banshee bump drafting cars and then going through the grass and rejoining the racing surface and then spinning in front of cars. The whole thing should never have happened had anyone had patience. That being said he point of the protest area is for the ADMINS to make a decision on an incident. You telling me to **** off is really not needed. If the admins consider it a racing accident then by all means its a racing accident and it happens. I have a different view on the whole thing and I'm allowed to state that am I not? The whole protest is not directed at CoRe, but more or less at the driving that could have been a decent amount cleaner. I do not have anything against CoRe, btw... if I did I wouldn't have sent you my qualifying set (even though it sucked) the day Pre-Q ended to help you get on the grid, Ben. I guess it's ok to go through the grass and dive back into traffic, I guess I'll remember that the next time I'm in a pack of cars... it could've been avoided had core not tried to push through and maybe just waited a couple corners for things to spread out. My point is that everyone will drive crazy at the start and maybe there will be worse wrecks with flips even unless there is a precedent example for what you are and are not allowed to do.
The lord knows I have made driving mistakes myself, so I know they happen.
TLDR; I understand your view is different than mine, that's why the admins are here to decide!!
Have a good day.
The "**** off" was because it appears to me that when you realized your first protest would fail, you edited it to be something you thought might stick better. I don't think it's because you have anything against CoRe. I think it's out of some bizarre need save face.
It's also because you're protesting an incident in which your team was almost entirely uninvolved, aside from hitting us and making sure we completed our spin. (You say Jesse could have just braked instead of going in the grass? Maybe. But you also could have just braked instead of running into him when he started sliding ahead of you, right?)
I audit that sometime between race's end and official results. I usually do right after the race and note it, but I was feeling somewhat rubbish yesterday and went to bed pretty much straight up after the race.
The qual driver racing and the 75% rule gets checked automatically, don't worry.
