It has it's share of unfairness but pretty much every time the best song of the bunch wins.. Satelite (Germany) was a pretty cool song, and it won, does Germany has a lot of countries that like them? I think even "Beliebers" would hate that Ireland act though.

Morocco competed in a Eurovision Song Contest and is in Africa.
Also there is not "THE" definition of Europe. In fact Azerbaijan is not regarded as having land mass in Europe. However in the definition of UEFA, the governing body of European football (soccer) it is. Same for Georgia, Armenia or Turkey.

Eurovision is for members of the European Broadcasting Union and there are members from North Africa and Asia as well.
