You dont exactly need wide tracks to race F1 cars, the modern tracks are too wide i think. Some of the older tracks are wide enough, such as Imola, look at the attached pic.

If an F1 car is roughly 200cm wide, then the track is roughly 10-11m wide! Which may sound narrow, but is a good width. Then look at the other pics, fern bay is about 11-12m wide, but apparently ...

Then you move on to South City, some parts of this track are up to 30m, most parts are about 15m, and then the narrow bit is 10m.

Kind of puts it into perspective that Fern Bay isnt too narrow for F1 cars, and the mix of tracks we have at the moment are ok.

You completely missed my point, please read the rest of the comment/other comments and don't just take one sentence out of context.
I didn't say you can't drive a BF1 around Fern Bay, or that you shouldn't, nor did I say the tracks we have at the moment are not ok. Quite the opposite.
My comment was made in reaction to the TS' statement, and was to point out that because we have such diverse cars in LFS, we should have a big diversity in tracks so all cars have a track that really suits them optimal.

Don't tell me you think Fern Bay suits an F1 car better or even equally as for instance Aston or Kyoto? Don't tell me a track like Fern Bay could be on the F1 calendar? It's just not a track you would ever see on the F1 calendar these days. What you think of modern day tracks IRL is quite irrelevant as a reaction to that comment.

O/T: And yes, Monaco is not a track suited for F1. It may still be on the calendar but that's just because of the money and glamour involved. I think it should be removed from the calendar.
Because I think it's a real shame and a great example of the hypocrisy within the FIA that a fantastic track like Spa has to invest millions in renewing the Pit and Paddock area to be allowed to return to the F1 calendar while a track like Monaco doesn't meet those same FIA requirements by a longshot.

Do you consider Imola to be a wide enough track, if yes, then that means you would also consider Fern Bay to be wide enough because it is the same, if not wider. No they wouldnt use Fern Bay in modern F1, 'cos of the run off areas lol, its not exactly a safe track.

That was a personal opinion that i said before quoting you, 2 seperate sentences in 2 seperate paragraphs that don't relate to each other exactly.

I know there's a variety of cars, and some tracks suit some cars better, but saying Fern Bay isn't suitable for the sauber because you think the track width is too narrow doesn't neccesarily make sense, when there are a number of tracks still used by F1 which have roughly the same width.

It's not about what track I think is wide enough or not. I'll try it on every track LFS will ever get I'll try to explain better.
The TS said he thinks the tracks in LFS in general are too wide (at least that's what I got out of it). My reaction was that I think LFS gives a good representation of tracks you would find in real life, and that it's my opinion that for every type of car there should be at least one track that is really suited to it.

So no, I don't think a track like Fern Bay is what I would call well suited or realistic to an F1 type car because it doesn't show the strengths of a car like that very well. One of the other reasons is what you said yourself, safety regulations. That was in relation to another aspect the TS brought up, being trackside objects and such add to the sense of speed. That's why I said it wouldn't happen in real life. You seem to concentrate only on "is it possible/likely taking the width of the track into account". I think taking all characteristics of Fern Bay into account it would never be used as an F1 track IRL.
