The fourth round of the Blancpain Endurence Series. While SRO is struggeling to keep the GT3 series with FIA titles alive, the Endurance Series is fully vital. Especially the 24 Hours of Spa are attracting many teams. According to dailysportscar.com 66 teams entered this race, a large majority with GT3 cars in the three classes Professional, Pro-Am and Amateur, a couple of teams however entered Carrera Cup Porsches and so-called GTRs.
Among the entrants Audi Sport Team Phoenix with the three Le Mans drivers Marcel Fässler, André Lotterer and Tom Kristensen. Kids and grown-ups love it so - the happy world of Haribo, which enterw a Pro-Am Porsche 997 GT3 R driven by Hans Guido Riegel from Bonn, one of the grandsons of the Haribo founder. Marc Hayek, the grandson of The Swatch Group's founder and chairman, Nicolas Hayek runs the series' sponsoring Blancpain brand and shares a Lamborghini Gallardo LP600+ with the 2003 24 Hours of Le Mans GTS Class winner Peter Kox.
