D-Link Router Buffer Overflow Vulnerability Discovered
A Buffer Overflow Vulnerability has been found in a range of D-Link routers. D-Link has apparently issued new firmware to resolve the problem, so if you own a DLink router check the D-Link Support Site to see if one is available for your router. The routers affected are listed here

tbh, I'm not surprised given Dlink's shady past. For instance they previously had a hardcoded NTP server's address in a release of their firmware. The university who ran the server in question couldn't work out where all the extra traffic was coming from (imagine thousands of them, querying a server, every 5 minutes), until they back traced it to dlink-only connections, and from there the firmware release. Shame Dlink didnt actually immediately admit to it either.
