Gentlemen,

Can anyone with any of the Fanatec Porsche wheels help me out here?

The situation is as follows:

I have moved abroad and my Fanatec Porsche wheel is still in the old country, waiting to get shipped over here.
Right now, however, I am building myself a desk for my home office. It's going to be a standard design, a support frame with a separate table top, and it will have to accommodate my wheel once it arrives.

So what I'm missing now is two dimensions:

1) How far does the clamp mechanism go under the table? How far do I have to slide the wheel clamp under the table until the wheel fits snugly?
2) How wide can the clamp be opened? How thick can the thing be that I clamp the wheel to?

The table clamp goes around 4CM under the table.

I'm not sure what you mean with how far it can be opened however.

Well, in other words, how thick can the thing be that you clamp it to?

Also, are you sure it's just 4 centimeters?

ah, maybe I didn't express myself clearly enough:

How far do you have to slide the wheel with its mechanism under the table so that it fits snugly?

Okay here's an image. I forgot the clamp is a little longer. In depth it's 7,5CM from the tip of the clamp to the edge of the table.

The height of the desk doesn't matter that much, it can be anything from 0 to 6 CM or something.
