Should I wait?
I really need to buy a wheel because I'm sick of using the keyboard.
I can't decide if I should wait for the G25 or buy a DFP or MOMO.
I could get the DFP or MOMO a lot sooner,I wouldn't be getting the G25 until Christmas(the perks of being an unemployed 14 year old).
I don't really know if the G25 will be good, the DFP and MOMO have pretty much proven themselves to be good wheels.
The DFP and MOMO are around €130 in Ireland and I reckon the G25 will be €300+.
I don't even know if the G25 will be available in Ireland,I know where to buy the DFP and MOMO though.
Basically,I wondering if I should wait for the G25 or buy a DFP or MOMO.
Opinions would be appreciated,
Wantanabe.

if you can afford the G25, DO IT! its $300, some-one on this forum has one (beta testing it), but a stupid NDA wont let him say what he thinks of it except "good"

i am also an unemployed 14 year old, for one more day! then im a unemployed 15 year old! big change! anyway, i am lining up a buyer for my kidney to get my G25!

EDIT - DMA>NDA

The selling kidney bit seems like a good idea.
Thanks for the input.
Happy early birthday.

I'd like a new wheel while the Logitech Momo Force works well does its job etc the lure of a clutch pedal and H shifter makes one yearn for the likes of the G25, but the price is just way too high

If its gunna be 300 quid in the UK I am scared to think of the converted price here in Oz, somewhere in the $480 bracket I think, thats too much for me to spend on any computer sim/game etc

I can only imagine how hard it is for a 14 yr old, (employed or not) to get big money for high priced items, I guess your still at school or (should be?) and is there no 'paper boy type jobs or letterbox delivery stuff you can do to help?

Good luck with you quest, I'd say go for the G25, go door knocking and ask for a 50p donation from all the locals, tell em what you race and need and assure them, that donation will keep you off the streets away from bad influences, drugs, alcohol etc, never know it may actually work and get you a few bob.

Quote from thisnameistaken :The G25 looks like being a bit special, it's a tough call. The DFP is a great wheel though and well worth the money, you could always sell it on to a mate when you get your G25 and get him/her into LFS at the same time! I might end up doing exactly that myself, assuming the aforementioned mate isn't going to buy a G25 himself, which he might...

Thanks for replying but I don't really fancy buying two wheels.
I have a friend who's half into LFS but he's tight with his cash so I doubt he'd buy a used DFP.

It's going to be £300?
Oh no,that means it will probably be around €450,almost the price of my petrol r/c car.
I can't really get a job at this stage,it's the summer holidays so all the jobs have been taken.
Thanks for replying.

Sorry mate I mistook the Euro symbol for the Pound symbol, Its early here haven't woken up properly
I'd say if you're getting your first wheel, you can't go wrong with a cheap refurbished DFP. My Dad got one off Ebay for half what I paid for mine, and it feels nicer to use than mine! It won't set you back much, and is a perfectly good wheel. Then if you decide you want something more in a while you can think about that a bit later.

The G25 sounds good, if the pedals and shifter feel decent I might go for one of those when the price has come down a bit...

I'll regret it if I don't...
