No you moron. If it wasn't part of the game it wouldn't be a red card, it would be a ban from the sport.
Anything that happens regarding yellow and red cards is PART OF THE GAME. It's what happens OFF the field that's not.
Just like penalties in trials or other similar competitions it's PART of the sport. It's not uncommon and it certainly isn't frowned upon to get those penalties.
Yea, he's a c*nt but if they actually wanted to stop that behaviour they'd have banned him long ago. They didn't. Don't hate individuals when they abuse the already shit system.
Is it really that hard to comprehend? If the crime is so bad then the players should be trialed as a criminal not as some football player that won't even get more than a 50k fine.
Just because the focus is on him, all you see is how bad he is etc but what you're too blind to see, is football isn't governed properly, and hasn't been for too long. In regulations and governing terms football is still in the Victorian age.
The amount of times Celtic were a good ball away from a goal on the break was silly. Barca were very very poor and a better team would have beaten them.
Neither of the "big two" Spanish teams look scary so far, it feels like teams are starting to get their own games going v Barca.
Barca where as good as the needed to be, could have made it a bigger score line but at times, regardless of how good you are, if your playing a team who are disciplined in defence and sit with 10 behind the ball then it's a struggle to break down.
Because Barca push so high up the pitch, it's where the win and lose their games. If they win the ball, more often or not it's already in their opponents final 1/3 and they move swiftly into attack mode. When Barca are in full flight, (like the first goal) then there's nothing that can be done short of foul play...it's also one of the finer things in football to witness.
However a team who can soak the pressure and hit quickly on the counter have a chance to beat them, the problem here is that it needs a number of things to work. First of all is that when the ball break out it's goes into space or to the feet (important) of your striker who can hold the ball up, secondly is that when you do get the chance, you take it. You may only get a few chances and you need to convert 90% of them...otherwise you could be on the losing side come the end of the game.
Mark Clattenburg is normally one of the better refs, but he had a shocker today. Chelsea didn't deserve either of their red cards, Young dived and got a player sent off yet again, but because he's English he gets away with it.
Now Chelsea are claiming the ref used racist language towards their players...
Went to see Leicester vs. Crystal Palace at the weekend, Zaha is going to be very big. Incredible talent - I also hear that Steve Rowley from Arsenal was there to watch him too...
Yeah, it was a bit nuts. Also did i notice a bit of fail on referees side with the equalising goal (4:4)? Not only they scored almost 2 minutes after the added time elapsed, there was possibly also handball (by home player though) or offside (on Arsenal side).
Seems very weird to me, though i've been seeing this a lot in english football, when ManC/Arsenal/name top team here are involved.
The refs I know personally (low level football though) are actually stopping their stopwatch everytime it takes long to recover the ball (since there is just one ball in play). That's usually when the ball flies far beyond the goal line (when the pitch has no fencing), when a subsitution occurs, when a player was fouled or something else takes a big amount of time. The time additional time shown by the ref then is just an orientation for players and staff and audiance.
Don't worry it's one of these things where it's often heard but never taken fully on board. Very much like the myth of the last man defender and he has to go off if he commits a foul. While it's very likely that the player would be sent off, there could be scenarios where the player will only be cautioned with a yellow and yet you get commentators say "but he was last man, he has to go". Every time that is said, I cringe a little and do everything in my power to hold back from going into full blown rant.
Other rants include the 'The Fake no.9 Role''Teams Being Labelled as Long Ball Merchants When its a Legitimate Tactic When Used as Counterattack' and 'Holding Midfielders - Where Did The Attacking Players Go?' Such rants can be bought on audio cassette, vinyl and CD at all good and bad record stores.
