Thanks for the well wishes guys! She is beat up pretty bad.. several broken bones and one of her lungs has quit on her. Hopefully she will be ok, but we dont know for sure yet, they still have a lot of tests to do on her once her swelling goes down. Thank's again guys
Im assuming that you mean what caused the accident?
Some guy ran a red light at one of our busiest (and fastest, 55mph speed limit through there which is quite fast for the area) intersections and my mom was the un-lucky victim of his stupidity. She is messed up pretty bad so we dont know the whole story, only that of witnesses. Her car was demolished so we feel pretty lucky that she wasnt killed instantly. Thanks again for the well wishes.
I hope they find him and give him a warning or something drivers these days (not incoulding not you mum) but some drivers need to take there drivings tests again i mean here in you uk you get slow drivers like old pepole what are like doing 20 in a 30 or 40 area. hope your mum gets better plase keep us up to date.
No, I'm karting and we cant expect th84 to do it (even if he says he will, he's not ). I may add it on the same day as another race and do a double-header.
I'm not participating in this, but I read about your mothers accident th84,and I wish your mother all the best luck in the world. Hope she recovers soon.
If you choose to do that then may I suggest you add it to the other XRT race on 30th July so we don´t have to adjust ourself to a different car in 10 minutes. XFG and XRT handle very differently if someone hasn´t already noticed.
Although I would prefer doing them on different days. Do you have plans for the 23rd of July?
@th84 : Hope ue mom is fine now and she recovers soon.
It really upsets me when evr i hear of accidents on the road due to silly ppl and their silly mistakes. Here in India too we have lots of such ppl who unfortunately don't understand that roads are for commuting and not for the thrill of racing...we have race tracks for that.
Anyways...I shall pray for her speedy recovery and also pray that stupid ppl (like the guy who hit ur mom's car) develop better road sense.
@zeeaq: Thanks for your kind words. She is getting better every day. Hopefully she will be going home in the next week or so. She is still in pretty rough shape, but is getting better.
Yes, she is doing much better. She was in the hosipital for a couple weeks. She came home this past wendsday as is doing so much better. She had to have several operation's on her leg's and knee's so she will be un-able to do much for quite a while. My dad has brought in a "nanny" type lady to do everything, which get's me off the hook :P. The guy that hit her goes to court on August 9th, so hopefully he will get punished real good. My mom could go to court in a wheel chair, but she doesnt want to do it. She is very much a "forgive and forget" type lady, but i think i will go to see the ****** face and share my displeasure with him and his action's.. She will have to do a long stint at rehab to learn to walk again, but It coulda been much worse. I dont think she will ever be the same, but im glad she's still here.
