ahh, back then when few had DSL or flatrates. I even once build an enourmous Tobruk-ish map, using almost all vehicles (even an aircraft carrier). Despite being US vs. Nazi, I hid a complete russian airbase on the outskirts. Was fun playing it on LAN. Don't have it anymore tho.

That's weird, I can't even find BF1942 on Origin.

So this is the same old game or did they change much? I still have my old original CDs (base game and Road to Rome) somewhere, and would rather install those instead of Origin crap, and join online matches.

Same old game, nothing has changed. Not 100% sure, it has been some while when I played original one.
