Minimax and I will need to have shoutcast installed on our server for Major League Team Racing. However, instead of letting the bandwidth go to waste, we will host anyone that wants to use it for a slot. There will be a few strings attatched (must be about LFS, must give large numbers of MLTR plugs etc. etc.).

Some time slots are taken (7:45pm- 8:30, although may be extended) by live MLTR.

You gunna do live commentaries on the races for those of us that can't be there in person?

Would be great if there was a APB for any league race that you could listen to but can't watch. Or even watch and listen to commentary. All we need is a Martin Brundle-a-like whos knows about all the technical side of things to do with LFS, Setups and racing as a whole and someone like Jezzer Clarkson who knows jack shit but makes you laugh. I would listen to that.

Might bring some interest to the leagues. Make them more accesable and also make people more well known.

I might have hit on something here. If it gets good enough it could really go far. Get popular enough and the league could get a kinda semi-pro status with prizes and celebraty and all that kinda stuff. Could be a major development area for the Final release of LFS.

See. Thats what I was saying. If you could find a way to broadcast the entire 'coverage' with edited shots and live audio coverage this could turn into something big. I wouldn't know what the technical side means you can or can't do but this has to be an option for the future. Could you imagine a virtual F1. All the teams would then want to get their cars into LFS because of the coverage they where getting . . . .

Live audio only is what we are planning on doing for now.

Does anyone actually have any knowledge of Shoutcast? Nutty, Minimax and I can't get it to work, so any help from anyone who knows what they are doing over MSN would be extremely greatly appreciated

I havn't used it, but Fireball uses it for OLFS coversge (in the leagues forum) so you could try sending a PM.
