The online racing simulator
Lol ?
Quote from thisnameistaken :It's not often that '**** off' is the most reasonable response to a suggestion, but sometimes it works out that way.

Have you noticed how long it's taking to get the new tyre physics sorted out? Do you think Scawen should be spending his time doing a dedicated 'cruise' version?

**** off, mate.

I'm Not Asking For It Right now but it would be good in the Furture So Clam the **** Down =)
how about an LFS "world" where one could casually cruise from one track, across a large map, and on to another. this would simultaniously allow cruisers to have their bit while pure racers can jump from map to map without cruising. thie cruising are does not need to be full of unique textures or objects, just borrow fromn the other tracks. South City has plenty of pieces to offer. the cruise area could also be used as a bas for custom tracks as well and could even contain a track hidden within the cityscape (kind of like hiding a pic in a larger pic). also , any community has differences , learn how to work with them.
The initial idea in the first post could easily be a successful one, but LFS hardly has the manpower to make 1 game nevermind make 1 and oversee the development of another
Why all the talk of cruising? No idea why it should make an appearance in a forum dedicated to an on line race simulation. I know about different strokes etc but tbh, there are 'games' for cruising and simulations for racing. The oil and water adage would seem appropriate and any adaptations for cruisers takes away from the core reason for a race simulation, 'racing'.........
Where have you been all this time? Welcome back!

Developments using LFS InSim had given rise to the "cruise" servers. There was a time (even now?) where a majority of licensed *ahem* "racers" online were actually on cruise servers.

LFS might have been a dedicated "race simulation" but those who love to cruise are (like it or not) are a significant part of the community. So yeah, they're around the forums too, coming up with ideas to improve the sim that we all love.

Better accept that we're all part of LFS.
