I was playing today and I realized you can restrict the intake, but why not boost pressure? I think it would be a great idea if you want to take down the power, but with less turbo lag at the same time.
This is actually a very cool idea, I know its a terrible reference but Ryosuke did this in initial D because sometimes too much turbo equals too much wheel slip. Also they turbo lag in this game is way more than the turbo'd VWs I've driven. I own supercharged and N/A cars so I can't speak much else on the topic, but with all the other tuning features this would be a nice addition.
Ryosuke detuned his FC because he was racing against a lower power lighter car on a tight downhill cource.
We don`t have anything like that in LFS.
I would very much like a track with more elevation changes in LFS. I would have nothing against a track that would go up and down a mountain. Only problem I see is that it should be a very big map and made very well.
I think that heat will be a good way to balance stuff like this. You could lower your boost pressure to endure longer races without heating up the engine at the cost of power.
Then he'd need to be on tweak servers to lower his boost pressure. A great inconvenience. Most of those servers have FXR's with thousands of horsepowers flying into your back. Would be great to have this feature not only on such servers.
