As of the 24th of July at 1pm the Clean Racers Club re-opens its doors!

We've been in a state of re-juvenation after a difficult year, and over the past two weeks we have a added a new application system, new websites and new branches to the hub of the CRC. In the following weeks you should look to see a new website called FocusOn which deals with news about the CRC's events, LFS team events, how to guides (which will deffinately help you guys out with the cluttered forums) and pleanty more. Also the return of the events website will appear, and so will a skins website and a dedicated setups website!

So come visit us at 1pm onwards for the CRC's new launch and for it's birthday!

Looks can be deceiving, internally it's different, there's new websites coming up, the philisophy is different, continuous personal development.

We want our members to look towards improving themselves, not just how quickly they can do a lap time, but their car control, race etiquette. Pushing further, challenging yourself.

It may look the same, we could easily pimp it up. But afterall what is graphics? Eye candy.

Tukko, you're welcome at the CRC. I guess you'll just have to take my word for it...

Yeah the link thing is a bit of an issue at the moment, the pages exist, but there's only a small group of us, and there's only been a small period of time to do the work in. We decided it was best to open the site on time and improve as we go along instead of putting the launch date back and back, which would mean people would lose interest, etc.

Oh and there's free virtual tea at the door!

What's with the attitude? Like I said earlier I really miss that old CRC.. I guess it's never gonna be back so better stop moaning. And next question: what's wrong with the current one? Well there's over 400 members and only ~30 of them are active.. must be something wrong? Idea is great, but the way it's been carried out.. pfff.. people must feel more comfortable living in some paranoid dictatory than in current CRC. But hey it's just my opinion, and I can live without the Club.

Thanks guys, thanks. I've really been trying here, trying to bridge this gap between the crc and the lfs forums. Wanting to bridge that pointless gap, Wanting to make the crc a welcoming place...

As a side note, I personally want everyone here to sign up, I want to get all the old timers together and the new wave of guys too (inc myself) to do some proper racing out on track. Mixing it with the best ya know.

Oh yeah and the 400 members thingy is just a list of people who registered there name to post on the forums. That's something the CMS does that we can't really change unfortunately. There's probably only about 40/50 racers with the CRC membership.... Hence the "HEY JOIN DAMMIT" thing going on *nods*

I do have a bit of advice though: I looked at the CRC homepage and the first three links in the left-hand menu were "CRC Rules", "CRC Regulations" and "CRC Guidelines". Rather than make a dig about how the CRC is still obsessed with bureaocracy, I'll just point out that one link would probably suffice and be less confusing.

And while we're on the subject, maybe you could take this opportunity to explain what's different about the CRC now. See, old codgers like me are going to think it's just more of the same but with a slightly different website - tell us what's changed.

No one's been kicked out, and well i'm just a staff member, there's a still few of the old coots left. gAg, stoney, qs, oh and franky pops by now and then, but new people joined sinced the early troubled era, i mean. there's robt (who came in just at the end of all that) there's me, Kringle, 180sx, Bazzer, MacaW, Leprekaun, vain, erm... can't think of other new guys off the top of my head, but they'res a few!

"tell us what's changed." - that's a toughy, i'd have to sum it up by saying. It's run by the community with some guidance from staff. This means everyone has a say in what happens and that the staff are just there to put it all together i guess. They have the permissions and that's about it. The way the application process works, the voting system, events and the way that they're done, the racing, and of what's actually asked of people... Erm, so I guess the better question would be, what has remained the same? hmm? Well, we use the same CMS and the domain name's the same! :P

have i missed anything... nope don't think so...

EDIT: I think we looked back over the past year and realised just how it wasn't working. There was so many problems and things we noticed that we was doing wrong basically...

Oh and sorry about my little outburst up there. ^ Just upset me a bit that was all...
